  • Absolute madness from Cov, he surely is so far in the green with positive credit
  • Really surprised at this.  Wasn't so long ago they absolutely battered Spurs for 90 mins, then somehow lost in injury time.

Mark Robins sacked by Coventry. Not doing amazingly this year but you’d think he has credit in the bank.

That statement reads like an endorsement of his time there and reasons why they won't sack him, but they did anyway!
  • Odd as well, given they had a great comeback against Luton the other week, so its not like the players weren't playing for him
  • Someone isn't happy about it

I can see why they aren’t happy. Owners generally don’t succeed as chairman in this day and age
  • Wolves will be looking for a new manager if they lose against Southampton so wouldn't rule out them going for Robins
  • Crazy decision by Cov.  Give it 2 years they will be back in L1 close to going bust again and wishing they still had him.

Because their defence also has more holes in it than usual?
  • Gareth Ainsworth linked with the Shrewsbury vacancy. It's weird how unsuccessful he was at QPR, but he had a great record at Wycombe.

Given where they are in the table, you've got to wonder if its more than just a Manager problem, given they finished 18th last season and 20th the year before - Looks like their delayed execution wont be put off for much longer if they continue being ran the way they are.

as Simon Jordan likes to say 'its more nuanced than that'
different squad of players being the main one

Can't believe Ten Hag is gone. He was doing a great job and should have been given more time

RVN will put himself in the shop window for a decent managers job even though unlikely to be United as every loss is a "disaster" as Ex United players go on about ad nauseam on various TV and social media platforms.

    4 matches later:
Ruud has definitely put himself in the shop window for a Managers job after 3 wins and a draw and the mood just relaxed at United as soon as he was interim.

Great players don't always make great managers but RVN has a chance if he can go to the right club with a decent infrastructure and ambition. I wonder where and at what level that will be at ?
  • Lampard linked with the Coventry job. I hope they crash and burn.

Probably similar to PSV. I would like him to continue his trend of managing former clubs- Hamnburger SV in 2. Bundesliga? Doubt he'll go for another English club other than United (please don't link him to Coventry)

I have a feeling that he probably feels like he's been shafted by United. I suspect when he went to United he must've thought that Ten Hag isn't going to last long so then the job will be mine.

Will have put him into the forefront of people's minds for other jobs.

  • Claudio Ranieri has been appointed head coach of Roma until the end of the season - six months after announcing his retirement.

Ranieri has also taken on a role advising the Italian club's owners and will help in the search for a permanent manager.

At the end of the season the 73-year-old will "transition into a senior executive role", the club said.

Looks like it's going to be Frank Lampard to Coventry. Absolutely bizarre to sack Robins to then appoint Lampard.
Coventry only one point above the relegation zone, so hope he achieves their objective and he gets them into a different division.
