Great combination from John Humphrey and David Whyte....albeit for Palace.

    Superb composure from Leaburn too.

We were well beaten that night.
Then why put it on here.🧐🙄

Just don't think it's an issue if the man is offside as he should be. The reason Watson doesn't track him is because he doesn't realise Ramsay is deeper than the rest of the backline. Sure he should probably notice it but it's not the biggest error in my opinion
I think it's a collective thing that leaves Watson in that position, if you are trying to play them off side ten yards out, it's pretty risky, far better that with the type of defenders we possess, that you mark your man. You would probably be able to try to play offside that deep if we had VAR, we don't so just mark your man.

Small has been beaten in the air for at least 2 goals this season after losing his man.
Possibly earlier in the season but as a collective unit, I can’t remember the last time we conceded from an open play cross into our box before Saturday.

    Probably Rotherham (A)?

And the fact that Ramsay’s position didn’t play the man on. Watson was goal side of the man at the moment the cross was sent in.
  • Goals don't tend to come from one mistake, usually they start with one then a few occur in succession. Jones trying to get his defensive line to play offside so far back, Ramsey late to react, Tennai loses his man etc...

It also is a great ball in and a perfectly timed run. That isn't me saying that our defence couldn't stop it but that we often forget that sometimes the opposition can do something good that makes defending hard
    100% agree.

Impressive numbers from Chester in the National League North, even if it was against a promotion rival
  • We’ve won 7 in a row and 9 out of 10 home games since Christmas. Away from home we’ve only won 3, drawing 2 and losing 3.

Fully expected us to play much better against Huddersfield next Saturday.
Page 1. We did in fact get a much better result back at the Valley.
