Karel Fraeye will always be the weirdest we ever had. But Appleton will definitely make the Top 5.5 -
Can only see this going badly for Shrewsbury, if it can get any worse in the first place.
Digging out fans and players, no emotion/passion on the side line and tactically inept at this level. Can't think of many managers I'd least rather have when their fighting for their lives. With his downbeat interviews claiming we always played well and still lost I wouldn't be surprised if they're pissed off with him before his 9 games run out

There's no pressure on him because i doubt there's any expectation of survival.0 -
Appleton wasn't a success with us, and he wasn't with Blackpool in the Championship in his last job before he become our head coach. His successor at Blackpool faired no better, Mick McCarthy, taking them down.
However, Appleton got Lincoln to the play off final the season before, and got Oxford promoted from L2 before that, and he did coach in the Premier league, as Craig Shakespeare's assistant at Leicester.
Now some may overlook those facts about his past that must have appealed to those in charge here who took a chance on him, but if those who appointed Jones, his successor, had only focused on his failures, I doubt he'd have got the job. I'm glad he did.
Apples had to go, but I wish him luck at Shrewsbury. He'll need it. They're as good as down. Don't see the point personally. Smacks of desperation on all sides.2 -

After losing at home to Crawley 0-4, that is no surprise Steve Evans fell on his pork pie, chicken legs,
Yorkshire puddings, an extra round of cheese and pickle sandwiches, 4 packets of Crisps, 6 extra large Vul-au-vents, a couple of Doughnuts and washed down with a few pints of John Smith's bitter.
Evans may well get a new manager bounce wherever he turns up next; imagine a trampoline 🤔

Very surprising how poor Rotherham have been this season, when with their history of yo-yoing between the Championship and L1, you'd have expected them under Evans to easily be top 6.1

Would be very surprised if it's not Rohl and SCP at Southampton. Wonder if Leicester lose heavily tonight if RvN goes?0
