Whether or not it should happen (and I agree it's ridiculous how early things shut on Sunday's in UK), it is well known that things do close earlier on a Sunday.PragueAddick said:

I was stuck on it yesterday evening heading towards Abbey Wood at Canary Wharf. Apparently some power outage in the Western region around Paddington, but the trains in that direction were going merrily along their way.
