The worst bench in the history of CAFC? Harness, Elewere and Ghandour ended up with two career starts at League 1 level between them and Davison has managed just two career goals in the division, Watson's legs at 35 had gone and it was Pearce's last season too.

Its not just the worst bench, its quite possibly the worst Charlton team of the modern era, certainly the worst i can recall in my 25 years of following Charlton.

That defence is diabolical, most of the first team pretty quickly dropped levels.
The worst thing about looking at that line up for me is that I've got player shirts for 10 (TEN!) of them. Absolute brain fart buying that utter shite.
    Everyone but Dobbo 😂

It's close, but 2010/11 will (hopefully!) never be defeated. We lined up against Dagenham & Redbridge with a team of Ross Worner, Simon Francis, Gary Doherty, Miguel Llera and Johnnie Jackson (at left back!), Scott Wagstaff, Jose Semedo, Therry Racon, Lee Martin in midfield and Benson and Anyinsah up front. We brought on Akpo Sodje, Kyel Reid and Matt Fry and drew 2-2. We also had Alex Stavrinou and Tamer Tuna on the bench and sadly weren't treated to the talents of Alan McCormack and Pawel Abbott that day. We're lucky that back then the overall standard in L1 was so bad, because that was a real low for the club in terms of being able to afford anyone at all and I think if we'd been turning out a team of that standard in the modern day we'd be looking at L2 as soon as humanly possible.

One thing I will say about that team in 2010-11 is that they showed a lot more fight up to a point compared to some of our more recent teams.

Interestingly, I met a former friend and business associate of Sandgaard’s last year at the Monterey Concours Classic car meet in Monterey, California. I had my Healey there and he had an old MG. Anyway, we were chatting and I found out he lived in Colorado and he had an accent similar to Sangaard’s and he even looked like him a bit. Anyway, he was Danish and I asked him if he knew Thomas. He said he used to be his best mate. A bunch of ex pats hanging out together. But then he said he fell out with him when he was just getting Zynex going. He said his business practices were very iffy. Bigging up the prospectus of Zynex to attract investors etc., and he said he found it very unethical so he walked from their relationship.
It was an interesting discussion and It certainly rang a bell with me.
I was going to post this last year but I couldn’t find this thread.

He meant well . He got caught up in the attention he got without knowing how to do the job or who to employ to do the job .
I have no malice towards him at all . We’ve had a lot worse owners but that bar is pretty low .
    This.

He basically saved us. At the time he stepped in the club was being tossed around between Southall & his mates. ESI mk 2 were looking to own us with David Jones as manager. None of them had any money & the club would have been relegated that season due to transfer embargo and/or points deductions.

The guy may have been an egotistical twat but I believe he had good intentions.

He definitely had good intentions, but that phrase always reminds me of Ned Flanders losing his temper.
