There are too few passengers to justify building a second entrance at Woolwich’s Elizabeth Line station, despite complaints about crowding, Greenwich Council’s planning officers have concluded.

Nothing like a bit of forward planning. Too busy (TfL and the Council) mucking about with our roads, instead of improving the public transport services that might actually help both commuters AND road users. The longer they leave it, and it will be done eventually, the more it is going to cost. Try upping the levy on the builders for starters and start ordering CPOs on land where planning permission has been in place for more than 2 years with no building in progress.

Inevitable overcrowding for Woolwich station on the Liz line, not hard to predict.
But the Greenwich Wire says - "the station is now likely to remain with only one entrance and an emergency exit, which will emerge in Armourer’s Court." note future tense, "will emerge"...
I thought the emergency entrance was already in place at Armourer's court end but cannot verify this until i go and take a look, unless anyone else is able to confirm?

The emergency exit is the obvious location for the new second exit/ entrance.

By the way @Off_it we tried to use your top tip at Farringdon on our way to Wembley the other Sunday and it was closed off.  Metal doors shut and a sign saying no entrance to Barbican from here.  We went out and walked down the road to the entrance of Barbican tube instead but that looks like a permanent thing.

Have used it a few times getting to Heathrow, can never understand why there isn’t anywhere to put travel bags / suitcases.
There is space for luggage under the seats.

The trains were ordered before the Heathrow service was added.

Get to Paddington station at  22:50 to be told no east bound trains as they are finished for the day. 🤬
Last one is at 22:46, should have checked beforehand
Yep. I should have checked. Stupid to assume that one of the major transport lines in one of the world’s biggest capitals/cities might possibly run at least past 11pm 🤦🏻‍♂️
On a Sunday as well where most things end earlier, did that not cross your mind too?
This excuse might have washed in 1985. Does everything in your life shut down an hour earlier on Sundays?

    It does where I live m :D
