Totally agree with your sentiment! I didn't attempt to buy our season ticket seats, fancied a change and a different stand.Steven81 said:
Tbh I didn't even care about my season ticket seats and just grabbed three near them, are they precious or something it's the same stand and views.Er_Be_Ab_Pl_Wo_Wo_Ch said:No problem buying tickets.
ST in the family stand but bought West Lower for this, somewhere different.
An example where people do need to access their actual season ticket seats would be in the family stand, which for the league season is almost entirely sold out to season ticket holders. Without being able to locate their actual seat(s) for the Chelsea game - be that due to limitations of the user or the website can be debated - that season ticket holder will find it completely impossible to pick alternative seats anywhere else in the entire family stand - as all seats, barring half a dozen scattered singles, are held for season ticket holders, or have been sold.
Edit - this also now applies to the entirety of the Covered End, upper and lower.2 -
The only issue I have is that, for some reason, the ticket site never works for me using the google search engine. It lets you log in, but then throws you out when you try to then go further. But I know that and use Safari when I buy tickets. Had no problem finding the Tickets/Season Ticket Holder’s Reserved Seats drop down and could see mine & dads as well as @guinnessaddick as our accounts are connected. Was getting mine and dads (had to confirm his date of birth as it’s a Senior ticket) when Guinness messaged that he wasn’t able to access, so I got his as well.I had looked on the app as well. Not quite as easy as you have to realise you need to click the Menu Bar, which is the three horizontal lines, to then find the Tickets/Season Ticket Holders Reserved Seats links. All pretty easy today 🤷🏻♂️😉0

Regarding the steps, if you can’t change your tickets the Club will probably allow you to use the lift in reception.Silverdreammachine said:Wonder if anyone else had the same problem as me earlier today, from 2.00 tried phoning the ticket office, (I have a season ticket in Lower West Block B row J 169. Told they are taking no more calls try later. So after 3 or 4 more attemps tied online. All my block West Lower B is greyed out. So could not get in there. Managed to get 2 seats together (one for my mate/carer) in the Upper West, but realise the climb will really be a struggle up those steps. Have emailed the club wonder if I can change for 2 lower when the problem has been sorted out. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
They did for me when I had an issue.0 -
Found if your on mobile you can't see your season ticket option. Go to desktop mode you can view them0

I remember queuing for tickets for Blackburn at the Valley in 1994.Baldybonce said:Bring back the days of queuing up at the ticket office.
I should have been somewhere else, my pager was going off every few minutes and to make matters worse someone changed the rules for ticket allocation as I neared the counter. I must've kicked up a right old fuss because someone several places behind loaned me a season ticket so I could get what I needed (also to shut up my moaning I suspect).
Anyway I still remember the name on that ticket - so if you're still around Mr Deadman - thank you very much!
I must say they interviewed Scott Minto, Tim Flowers and a very dour Alan Shearer the game and if I had to pick the future pundit Shearer would have taken 3rd place.

Anyone found a way to buy your children who are also season ticket holders a ticket yet? They are linked to my account when we buy away tickets but for this one they are not on there.
Also brought my eldest a half season ticket and even on there it's not even showing he can buy one when I log into his account.0 -
I've got half a dozen connected accounts, but on this occasion only my name/ticket was there.TelMc32 said:The only issue I have is that, for some reason, the ticket site never works for me using the google search engine. Ditto for my adult son.Nicholas said:Anyone found a way to buy your children who are also season ticket holders a ticket yet? They are linked to my account when we buy away tickets but for this one they are not on there.

Lost the will to live in the end and told him he'd have to get his own.
It's not worth the agg for me for £1.50.1 -
I've somehow managed to link 4 out of the 5 of us our tickets by going on to the my friends and family page and instead of linking them as friends and family but linking it to customer to customer whatever that means and that has worked. however my other boy who I just brought a half season ticket for in November is no where to be seen. I have tried logging into his account which I have now got into however there is no seat reserved for him. I am even happy to buy another ticket anywhere in the lower for him and he can just squeeze in with us where we stand but the whole of the lower is greyed out. What a load of shit this whole system is.Covered End said:

Won’t a lot of ST holders in some blocks in the Covered End that have very few seats not belonging to someone for the season have no option but to move elsewhere if they want to take up the opportunity of buying two tickets and bring somebody along with them ? If your block has only 16 ST holders then it’s probably going to be a prime target for ST holders from elsewhere to head for.AFKABartram said:Unless there’s a huge amount of people moving elsewhere for the game, I think a lot of people have again not known how to book their season ticket.Given it’s only really ST holders able to purchase an extra ticket, in my section there are just 16 ST holders, yet 76 tickets are shown as not available.0 -

The website for 81 year olds like me is impossible to navigate if you need the extra ticket.I rang at 1400 got the service not available message,Then 14.15,got told to hold on which I did for 25 minutes then got dealt with by an extremely helpful lady, all done in a couple of minutes. To me well worth holding on on the phone rather than drive myself to distraction on the website.3

When buying tickets on a system like this, generally a st holder buying an extra ticket would normally want to be close to that person, how easy would it be so when the st holder buys a ticket it automatically assigns the closest available seat ?3
-
From experience, when the delivery method is set to 'blank', they send them by post by default. I had this happen to my Coventry ticket. As they couldn't reprint it and my postal address is 90 miles away, I had to collect it at the ground instead.LargeAddick said:signed in using my email and password. Bought my usual season ticket seat and Valley Express seat with no problems. Wasn’t given an option of how I wanted my ticket. My confirmation email says Delivery Method : blank. Very helpful. Suppose I’ll just wait to see if a ticket arrives by post or not.
Seems a poor system if some people have problems, some don’t, some season ticket seats are held, some are not. Needs a major overhaul.

Having put my ST seats in the basket I used the 'continue shopping' to select 2 other seats via the 'normal' route. It would be logical to have a 'continue shopping nearby' button to do as you say. It's not that type of system, though.Ilovelondontown said:When buying tickets on a system like this, generally a st holder buying an extra ticket would normally want to be close to that person, how easy would it be so when the st holder buys a ticket it automatically assigns the closest available seat ?0 -
Thank you for this, it wouldn’t work until I changed my Son to ‘customer to customer’. It was just ‘family’ before. All sorted and three tickets purchased.Nicholas said:

No probs, No idea why family and friends wasnt enough it's a proper shit system. I'm still stuck I can buy one for me and my youngest as we are season ticket holders. I brought my other son a half season ticket in November however it still doesnt let me buy his seat, I have been emailing the club only be told that half season ticket holders cannot purchase their seat as its not valid yet. I then pointed out it clearly states half season ticket holders can buy their seat on the website. I have now asked them to sort something out by calling me or releasing his ticket to me to buy but they havent got back to me now. Proper doing my head inPhotollery said:

That, ironically, should have been the starting point for whoever it was that created the online system.thickandthin63 said:The website for 81 year olds like me is impossible to navigate if you need the extra ticket.I rang at 1400 got the service not available message,Then 14.15,got told to hold on which I did for 25 minutes then got dealt with by an extremely helpful lady, all done in a couple of minutes. To me well worth holding on on the phone rather than drive myself to distraction on the website.0 -

Question is where are the ticket office staff? MIA no one answering the ticket office line, goes through then cuts off and main switchboard line goes into a strange beeping noise, most helpful !
Buying season ticket reserved seats is once in a blue moon why isn't this info on the clubsite about chelsea tickets or maybe it is in the video?......simple communication would help & someone answring a phone1 -
All done, but somehow a straight forward transaction was a difficult trial of patience.0
-
A natural assumption, but incorrect. My son is a software engineer and has been helping me, but tells me there is something wrong withy the website. He bought two tickets for himself using the same procedure, but it hasn't worked when he (we) did likewise through my S/T. It recognises my password for every transaction except this one. They texted me a link, which says "Whoops!" when you follow it, and the ticket office is unavailable.bobmunro said:Everybody is accessing the same ticketing system yet some are finding it easy and some are finding it difficult. That would perhaps indicate a user issue rather than a system issue. Either that or interpreting the instructions is leading to confusion.3 -
Dont bother emailing the ticket office they are about as much use as the people serving food and drink at half time. Emailed them and explained about my boys half season ticket, get a response back at 907 stating half season tickets are not allowed to buy them because they do not start till 1st Jan. Emailed them back and said it clearly states on the website half season ticket holders can buy theie seats. at 937 get an email saying yes you are right half season tickets can buy them but didnt help me with a solution. Received another one just now saying half season tickets cant buy them. Bunch of bloody idiots2

got my correct ID details from the club today, went in bought my tickets, no problemo - don't know what all the fuss is about

@SoundAsa£ I have broken myself away from my busy schedule today to see what teams Chelsea put out for cup games.Last season they played Brighton away in the 4th round of the FA Cup, the previous game they played West Ham at home in the league. Not one player started the game at Brighton started the West Ham game.0
