Remember when people thought he was no good in the air and was unlikely to improve?

That is pretty mental considering he hasn't started that many games.

18 starts and a total of 1773 mins. Lloyd Jones (obviously) has 35 starts and 3044 mins. Kieffer Moore has 32 starts, 2450 mins and only 22 more aerial duels won

We still have to work out how to get the best out of him but that is something we really need to do. Of course some of that is what he needs to do too but he could be frightening at this level with his natural assets as well as his ability for a big man.

No idea where these stats are from, who compiles them & who watches ALL our matches ALL the time.......but in my view they are wrong. For someone supposedly 6ft 4 (or is it 6ft 6) his actual heading ability is not very good.

If the stats ARE correct then all I can say is that he must win loads of headers ALL the time I'm not watching because from what I've seen he often mistimes his jumps and is too much under the ball rather than attacking it.

    Just my view.

    And as a PS.......

What's an "aerial dual" ?  If its anytime he goes for a header then I'd hope he's winning battles against anyone under 6ft !!

Leaburn is so good in the air he makes me sometimes think dykes isn’t good in the air by comparison.
I’m not sure that getting to the ball ahead (no pun intended) of someone that’s shorter than you makes you good in the air. Dykes is much better in the air than Leaburn.

Bet Wrexham don't just lump it up to Moore every time he's playing though.

Wrexham play the third most accurate long balls of any team in the division, we are twelfth

Whoever the stats provider is will have a team of people watching all matches and logging passes, shots, headers etc. You can say it’s wrong in your opinion but you’re arguing with actual professionals

And to answer your next question, yes an aerial duel is when competing with someone else in the air. He’s rarely doing that with anyone under 6ft and one look at the CB’s in the league would show you that

How many CBs are under 6ft and why would this stat be noteworthy.
