18 starts and a total of 1773 mins. Lloyd Jones (obviously) has 35 starts and 3044 mins. Kieffer Moore has 32 starts, 2450 mins and only 22 more aerial duels wonChunes said:
That is pretty mental considering he hasn't started that many games.fenaddick said:Remember when people thought he was no good in the air and was unlikely to improve?

We still have to work out how to get the best out of him but that is something we really need to do. Of course some of that is what he needs to do too but he could be frightening at this level with his natural assets as well as his ability for a big man.2

No idea where these stats are from, who compiles them & who watches ALL our matches ALL the time.......but in my view they are wrong. For someone supposedly 6ft 4 (or is it 6ft 6) his actual heading ability is not very good.fenaddick said:Remember when people thought he was no good in the air and was unlikely to improve?
If the stats ARE correct then all I can say is that he must win loads of headers ALL the time I'm not watching because from what I've seen he often mistimes his jumps and is too much under the ball rather than attacking it.
Just my view.13 -

What's an "aerial dual" ? If its anytime he goes for a header then I'd hope he's winning battles against anyone under 6ft !!2 -
Agreed golfie!golfaddick said:

I’m not sure that getting to the ball ahead (no pun intended) of someone that’s shorter than you makes you good in the air. Dykes is much better in the air than Leaburn.Diebythesword said:Leaburn is so good in the air he makes me sometimes think dykes isn’t good in the air by comparison.

Bet Wrexham don't just lump it up to Moore every time he's playing though.fenaddick said:

Wrexham play the third most accurate long balls of any team in the division, we are twelfthCharlton and on said:

Whoever the stats provider is will have a team of people watching all matches and logging passes, shots, headers etc. You can say it’s wrong in your opinion but you’re arguing with actual professionalsgolfaddick said:

And to answer your next question, yes an aerial duel is when competing with someone else in the air. He’s rarely doing that with anyone under 6ft and one look at the CB’s in the league would show you that4 -
How many CBs are under 6ft and why would this stat be noteworthy.golfaddick said:

Also has a 56% win ratio from headers which puts him in the top 5% of championship forwards, so even with our whole long ball tactic he still does win the majority3
-
Very mature performance as a sub today.5
-
Showing such maturity at an early age. Quality.3
-
He showed the nous that he has occasionally lacked3
-
Did very well when he came on, maybe could/should have scored but the angle wasn't great so not going to hit him with that stick.5
-
I would be reviewing his contract again this summer, get him tied down for longer term. think he'll keep improving if he avoids injury10
-
He's doing very well considering he's had to reinvent himself as a target man. I've got high hopes for him next season.2

He's such a big lad and has been in and around the team for long enough that it's easy to forget he's only 22 sometimes. That said, when he's in the mood and firing on all cylinders he's absolutely one of the best players in the whole squad in terms of pure talent.fenaddick said:He showed the nous that he has occasionally lacked6 -

Should’ve sent him to Walsall in January and recalled DK…8
-
Thought he was quality when he came on that last bit of play was intelligent yeah he may have lashed it from a tight angle but he was being taken wide by a very fast defender and realised it was better to keep us the ball and not give them a chance to counter.0
-
Most improved player this season when you compare his performances from the start to now. May not be scoring but you can see his all round play has come on massively6
-
Agreed some of the dogs abuse I hear from a minority in the stands against leaburn and Campbell makes me sick tbh considering how young they are, when it clicks for them they will make them eat their words tenfold imo, they would sooner see them gone but rue the day they played for another team against us....ie thick as ****Crispywood said:Most improved player this season when you compare his performances from the start to now. Of anyone under 30 in our team he’s the last person I’d want to leave , he’s proper7
-
he has fought his bollocks off and made life incredibly hard for defenders for the last
few Months. Despite playing up front in our team this season has been a sorry thankless task involving getting a pass to your feet once every 2 games, and a chance created for you once every 5.If we can start actually playing a bit of decent football then he could really shine in a big way, as he’s a brilliant footballer
ironic as when he first broke through he looked like he had great feet and a good finish but needed to learn the nasty / aggressive physical side. Hes got that now so if we can channel the two together … the sky is the limit8 -
Always said he was quality and would go for many £m's at some point in his career. Still do. Keep him and he keeps improving at the speed he has, then with more service he could be worth a very serious slug of money end of next season.0
