A beautiful pint of well kept beer in The Plume on Thursday (1 of 6).
Had some more yesterday, every bit as good. It's a perfect example of English bitter at its best8 -
This looks dreadful but I really enjoyed it. A pastry sour offset by plenty of fruit from strawberries, blackberries, vanilla and blackcurrants. Nicely balanced and not too sour.

Lovely pint of Tom’s Tap & Brewhouse Dark Mild at the Green Goddess. Very smooth and a gentle 3.8% to start the day. First time here - I know it’s early but I expected it to be busier.I just hope the footballs as good later today.

I tried Rauch Bier for first time - disgusting. didnt like it at all.0

That stuff is hard work - I quite like the first few mouthfuls, but I find it really hard to finish a bottle (Schlenkerla). It just ends up being overpowering.Zulu said:I tried Rauch Bier for first time - disgusting. didnt like it at all.0 -
Because of tablets I'm on it's been zero beers and ciders for me for a year now. Some ok zero lagers out there. Was in Valletta last week and there local brew Cisk did a decent zero lager. Some decent zero ciders around too, better than the lagers in my opinion. Any recommendations?0

Guinness zero is very good. The Adnam's zero (Ghost Ship?) is drinkable. Can't comment on lagers.0

I’d genuinely prefer a pint of Fosters…IdleHans said:

Spot the difference, the Leitrim Inn, Leitrim village.2 -
Back in Boston after watching that shambles on Saturday. Pre-game drinking before the Bruins final regular season game. Beers a bit more expensive than in the Green Goddess.Cantillon Classic Geueze - absolutely marvelous, perfect for the 24c day we’re having, watching the world go by with the windows open. Just $22 for 10oz - I make that just over £30 a pint

Had some lovely beers in Nashville last week. Homestyle, an IPA from the Bearded Irish brewery is my favourite (took this photo on a previous trip as I didn’t get one this time round!):

Introducing Harbour Master…a very satisfying taster when driving around Tasmania.

Warming up for Zwanze Day, and ran into this beauty. Maine Beer Company - Black Barn Res IPA. 7% , nice bitterness, which has gone missing in recent years with all the NEIPAs. Very drinkable.

Drie Fonteinen Cuvée Armand & Gaston, Blend 80, 2017/2018. Amazing stuff, not particularly sour, but funky with a lemony sweetness. Super drinkable @ 6.5%.

To celebrate today’s victory, and In anticipation of Zwanze pours at 3pm, a warm up Cantillon Classic Gueuze. Nice and sour.

Never mind all these foreign / fruity / murky ales. Here’s a proper amber bitter brewed in Knockholt. And with a name like that, they’ve got to get some barrels down The Valley for next season. It’s not unlike Harvey’s Sussex or London Pride. Lovely.

Took this home from the premiere on Tuesday. It’s very nice

On sale in M&S so grabbed it randomly. Very nice indeed. Siren always seems to do decent beer. 0 -
Nothing like some violent Dutch stuff to BYO to your local pizza joint

Very tasty Kostritzer Schwarzbier. Just perfect for warm afternoon. 4.8%, malty, bready but refreshing

As we’re celebrating 18 years of Novare Res Bier Cafe, one from the cellar. Cantillon Framboise Lou Pepe 2008. Plenty of raspberry, very dry and no sweetness to offset a really nice acidic sourness. 750cl bottle, so this should keep me busy for a while. Fortunately it’s only 5.5%

Somerville, we see loads of pictures of your beer. Any chance we could see a picture of your beer belly? Not a fetish - just that I don’t drink a lot of beer to avoid getting a belly, and want to ensure I’m not missing out for no reason.2

I have met him mate, he's a 30" waist, and 8 stones dripping wet.

Ambled down to Dulwich Hamlet yesterday at noon for the 3rd Dulwich Beer Festival. A great day for it and about 60 ales available, plus a dozen or so ciders and perries.
As an aside, there’s impressive legroom in the stand.

In a local bar, and this nightmare is on tap. The barmaid, who’s Irish, is horrified. She tells me, in her wonderful Irish accent, that it’s new to the bar, but it still tastes like shit. Before anyone asks, no, I’m not drinking it. And that’s Bayern- Stuttgart in the background

Today's brewery Arbor Ales:
Nice refreshing lager. A couple of pale ales ready to follow upEdit: Extra points for a pint can3 -
I'm not a massive fan of lager generally but can appreciate it in warm weather. This is a Bitburger, which I've somehow never had before. I have to say, it's very tasty indeed (on offer in Waitrose)

A good lager is great to start off with, especially after being dragged round a 2 garden centres on a hot Saturday. I ordered these on Thursday night and arrived this morning via APC overnight from Bristol. Bloody good service0

Just stocked up in Morrisons with lager for the Summer. Sticking to the principle of only having beer brewed in its country of origin, I have a fridge full of Keo, Estrella Damm, Estella Gallicia and Warsteiner.0
