About to grab the 160 box of Yorkshire tea bags when i noticed the 80 boxes were on sale. Two of them were cheaper than the larger box. Huh one to me I think. The 20p saving gave me more pleasure than it should have. A small win maybe, but I don't get many

I don't know about other supermarkets, but ASDA are bastards for doing that. Essentially ripping-off anyone who assumes that bulk buying is cheaper. It's one for my things I hate list. Well done for seeing through their little trick.Raith_C_Chattonell said:About to grab the 160 box of Yorkshire tea bags when i noticed the 80 boxes were on sale. FMCG pricing architecture and SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) planning will be the driver here, rather than an attempt to rip people off.Stig said:

It might not make a lot of sense, but there is likely to be planning behind it. What I would say about ASDA (and all other UK supermarkets) is that they are certainly not in the market of "ripping people off" - in fact its the opposite. If you are a supplier on the other hand...0
