About to grab the 160 box of Yorkshire tea bags when i noticed the 80 boxes were on sale. Two of them were cheaper than the larger box. Huh one to me I think. The 20p saving gave me more pleasure than it should have. A small win maybe, but I don't get many

I don't know about other supermarkets, but ASDA are bastards for doing that. Essentially ripping-off anyone who assumes that bulk buying is cheaper. It's one for my things I hate list. Well done for seeing through their little trick.Raith_C_Chattonell said:About to grab the 160 box of Yorkshire tea bags when i noticed the 80 boxes were on sale. FMCG pricing architecture and SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) planning will be the driver here, rather than an attempt to rip people off.Stig said:

It might not make a lot of sense, but there is likely to be planning behind it. What I would say about ASDA (and all other UK supermarkets) is that they are certainly not in the market of "ripping people off" - in fact its the opposite. If you are a supplier on the other hand...1 -
Got my 1,000th Charlton Life lol yesterday. It's only taken me four months shy of 20 years to get there. I either don't post enough or I'm just not that funny. That's a solitary lol a week on average.11

Queuing in the chemist with a pack of tena ladies in my hand .
Some smartarse made a comment about me being of an age that requires them, deliberately loud to raise a few sniggers in the queue.
Trying to think of a quick comeback when I was called to pay because others were waiting on prescriptions, I noticed a damp patch on the groin of the guy’s trousers.
I turned to leave the shop and stopped pointing to the tena men, calling back “mate your 20+ years younger than me, best you look at the front of your strides”

The very rare Saturday’s that ‘pop’, as the kids say.
Parkrun
Sun’s out
The Valley looking glorious with everyone in red
Charlton win
Charlton stay up
Afternoon sofa nap
Best mate’s 50th party
absolute banger of a Saturday

Went to Day Fever for the 1st time on Saturday with missus and friends.
Great music from 70s, 80s & 90s, everybody there with the intention of enjoying themselves, great venue…a little bit of escapism for 5 hours and home by 9:30pm.0
