They’ll never let it happen it football. We’re second class citizens as far as central government are concerned. That’ll never change.
A few countries abroad allow it.
I think many. Spain Italy Germany. Seems to be absolutely fine and additive to the experience, from my experiences.
Spain is different because football is less 'tribal' there and you get hardly any away followings at most games.

But if they can make it work in Italy and Germany then i don't see why it can't work in England. I'd say they probably shouldn't allow it for local derbies or high risk games though. The local police are never going to allow it at Newcastle v Sunderland for example. But if you're at Charlton v Preston, there's really not much reason people shouldn't be able to drink.

I'd honestly be surprised if they allow it anywhere though, as there's not much to suggest it will do anything other than result in a higher number of arrests across the country.
Funny enough alcohol is banned in the Bernabeu.
Yes looking into it, i think alcohol is banned at all stadiums in Spain. Which actually surprises me as (like i mentioned above) you get hardly any away fans at games.

Went to Barcelona on a stag do years ago and took in a game late Saturday night. We'd all been on it all day (of course) and were amazed they allowed you to booze in your seat! There were a few grumbles about the quality of the beer...then we realised it was alcohol free! You could buy a proper beer at the bar, just not allowed to take it through to the stand. Bunch of idiots ha!

When we went to the Women’s Euros in Switzerland we were allowed to drink in our seats. In the ‘beer’ line there was only some sort of gassy Eurofiz lager but as it was summer and hot it did a job and pleasant to be allowed to drink in your seat as you can watching other sports.

Absolutely no chance. Too many 18-25 year old tw@ts about these days that would be lobbing it in the air at every goal, same sort of ppl that force 'limbs' and jump down 2/3 rows at an away game just to post on their snapchat stories. No, ta.
