I understand it's a different game, but, it amazes me how there can be almost 100 overs bowled in a one day match but only around 70 in a Test Match.3

And in pretty much the same time too. An extra half hour (11-6.30) and only 30 minutes between innings. I really enjoy the 50 over games. The difference between the two sides was the failure of Northants to use up all of their overs, that spell from Ekansh when he took three wickets including the two players in their 50s and the well-paced innings of Benjamin and MOM Finch in particular to see us home.4

A really enjoyable day at the cricket.Ekansh looks a real prospect but there were many decent performances for a large Kent crowd to enjoy.I also thought DBD captained well and rotated his bowlers effectively.6

My 2 faves from the early season matches did what they do well yet again. Nothing fancy - just dependable & sensible batting IMO.

The next three TW home 1st XI games, starting with tomorrow's game against Bexley, have been moved to Skinners School Sports Ground. That really is unprecedented for the KPL and a sad reflection of the situation at the Nevill. It remains to be seen whether the same thing is going to happen for their final game of the season which is against Lordswood but here's hoping, anyway, that they are able to sort of the ground out for the beginning of next season. Don't think it will be near enough but the wicket might prove to be as much a challenge for us as it has for Gloucs. The real issue is having to get at least 20 overs out of Evision, Ekansh and Jaydn, none of which are front line bowlers at present.PrincessFiona said:
