I can see that £3-4 mill will be the yeast they are looking atShootersHillGuru said:
Players in their last year of contract value drops because clubs want something rather than nothing. I can see him leaving Palace this window for about £3 - 4 million. If he had three years left it would be closer to £6 - 7 million. Gamble for Palace to hang on too long. He’s not going to feature for them. They won’t want a loan at this point. They’ll want money.Oggy Red said:
Maybe, but that's like saying you wouldn't pay more than a £1 for a loaf of bread.ShootersHillGuru said:JRS is in his last year of contract with ten days left of this window and only January to come. If he’s, as being suggested here worth £5 million at this point then it suggests to me that his real value is somewhat higher. Possibly £6 - 7 million. To me that’s a nonsense. He’s worth nowhere near £6 million let alone 7. For me given his contract status he’s worth near than £3 - 4 million tops. He’s still a lot to prove.
If you want decent bread, then you have to pay the going rate.
#bread analogy....you saw it here first 😊1 -
hopefully this transfer will be a late "bloomer"3

Like you say, Palace won't want a loan.
I was just trying to say that the price of living has gone up - and that includes the over-inflated valuations of professional footballers.
We've seen the enormous sums that some Championship clubs are prepared to pay for very average or inconsistent players.
Palace are a business, they need to make money.
But so are Charlton - and we'll offer the lowest price we believe we can get accepted.

Amazed Wrexham are willing to do a loan, unless there’s a clause to extend his contract. Works for us though, a season to assess him and other options given that this was unexpected2

I assume TK will be loaned out as well ( assuming no reasonable bids come in for him)?0

This being a loan is great business for us, Kaminski is well and truly brown bread to Nathan Jones7
-
Presumably we are covering part of his wages, he's not cluttering up their training ground and is off the books at the end of the season anyway. Its probably not their ideal solution but it will do - as they see it.fenaddick said:Amazed Wrexham are willing to do a loan, unless there’s a clause to extend his contract. Indeed - he joined them on a free transfer as well. I should imagine will be picking up most of, if not all of his wages. And there will be a loan fee involved. They have probably got a good deal out of it.fenaddick said:

I would assume that a loan prevents him from facing his parent club on 8th Dec and 24th April7

Loan with option/obligation to buy maybe.1
-
He’s in his last 12 months so would be available on a free next summer. If he does well, I could see us trying to agree a small fee in January to prevent it from getting that far.LargeAddick said:Loan with option/obligation to buy maybe.6 -
