I've had a season ticket barring 1 season since the early 80's - had seasons in my late teens / early 20's where i did  most away games but now just an away day gloryboy - when on a promotion run in or big cup game - i think that is probably the same for a lot of long term fans

If a season ticket holder had done " a handful of games" they would've been above the or VG phase, i went to 2 away games last season and bought a ticket for the Chelsea game which puts me on 535, the the same as or VG phase. I got my ticket at phase 7.

I wasn't talking about VG as a whole, I was talking about the weird points choices for the top phases, where 590 + VG ranked higher than 750. I also said that it obviously made no difference, but simply noted that it felt wrong. And I'm Phase 2 anyway, so not an issue for me. 590 + VG was Phase 5 for West Ham incidentally.

And my first comment was about the sheer number of phases having the separate VG level adds. They could easily have had

1) 590 + VG or 620
2) 570 + VG or 590
3) 550 + VG or 570
4) 550
etc

Removing 2 unnecessary levels

I was near the front for that as I got there very early. The staff brought us out cups of coffee.

I agree, i've been supporting the club for over 50 years & still try to go to every away game, & there are quite a few other people who do the same.

It is quite apparent that the supporters who rarely attend away matches have little idea how the system works, or cannot understand how to navigate the ticketing website.
The Loyalty Point system has been in place for several years & yet these same people moan & groan when they are unable to purchase a ticket for games at Millwall ,QPR, Portsmouth or if we get a very attractive cup-tie.
It will be interesting to see how many of these people buy tickets for the upcoming away games at West Brom, Stoke, Cardiff, Burnley & Middlesborough for example when the away allocation will be quite large & will probably go straight on general sale.
