He got a knee in his lower back towards the end of added time. I hope it doesn't cause him too many issues going forward. He went down in pain when the final whistle went. He was the game changer, scared the living daylights out of their defense. There's a player there we just have to play to this strengths. Really like him when he gets the ball to his feet.8

I think you can tell quite quickly with Miles what type of performance he’s going to put in, today his first action was to absolutely flatten Sanderson as he tried to block him from pressing the keeper after their kick off, that set the tone for rest of his performance, totally dominated all of Derbys defence and in my eyes earned himself a start at the bowl next week3

Maybe that was part of Jones’s thinking - give Godden a starting position and challenging Miles to show he deserves to take that place. I've been highly critical of Miles but today he proved he can be a valuable asset to us. I just hope he can have that impact consistently!2

Bang on. Said it forever on here. If you are the height of Leaburn, M'Bick, Evan etc it takes a long time to fully grow into your body.
Any one with half a brain can see Leaburn has the tekkers, I still expect him to be a top player in his career and spend time in the Premier League. Hopefully it will be with us18 -

Still looks like he’s maybe a half a yard slower than the 18 year old Miles that first burst into the team, but he’s stronger and meaner and starting to learn how to use that bulk. The layoff while holding off their centre half that set away Carey and Karlan, plus the subsequent run that Carey should have fed was top drawer. It was reminiscent of what Godden brings as a hold up player. What the run also showed is that the even if he is a half yard slower it only a half yard vs maybe a full yard a year ago.
Also, that loss of pace is off set by having fast and energetic runners around him, on all sides, in TC, Carey, and Karlan.
Consistency is what we need next but some super signs that he is maturing and proving suitable for the new system.

Leaburn's biggest problem has always been following a good performance with another one. If he can solve that then he has so much potential. Let's hope his next game is just as good10

It’s possibly a blessing for him in an odd way that his main strength is no longer pace. Helps him develop a stronger all round game and will give him more longevity as a player too. Different position but reminiscent of Alfie Doughty post his serious hamstring injury.1
