    Switched it for Sachas Hotel near Piccadilly for £120 pp.

    Sachs’s hotel looks rank and reviews are terrible.  
    We went for premier inn at Manchester airport for £80 a room. Train through all night or £30 for 20 mins in a cab. Hotel prices otherwise were madness

    Didn't fancy our chances of getting a cab/uber/aggro of trying amongst 60,000.
    It's difficult enough at places like Oxford A with 7,000.

    We preferred to walk back to Piccadilly and stay close to the train station, so we weren't heading out of town  approaching midnight and then having to come back in again in the morning.

    Stuffy hot rooms seems the worst & some saying uncomfortable mattress, but after being on it all day & night I reckon we'll sleep just fine.

    The main Britannia is alright but Sachas really is a pit.

    For Manchester you can also try Sale, its not far on the tram.
