    Right Protarus, Cyprus.

Talk to me people, things to go, see, do etc in that region.

    Cheers all
If you like the music of Queen and don't mind tribute acts, then give Q Cocktail Bar a go when Jay Mercury is appearing there.
I've seen him a couple of times when he has appeared in Paphos and he was superb both times.
He's doing a UK tour over the winter and I might try to see him again.
Surprised that Jay Mercury did not perform at the Freddie Mercury celebration in Montreux this year. Apparently, he was or is touring the UK.

    What time of year?

fig tree bay is very built up now, was a wooden shack when I first went late 90’s. Plenty of boat trips, worth doing famagusta ghost town, water park isn’t too far away (bus runs there)

Has anyone ever holidayed in the Gambia?

Seen a lot of holidays pop up recently on search engines
The only country I have been that I would not go back to

Felt like everyone was trying to scam you, hassled more than any other African/Caribbean country I have been to.

Even the money from the cash machines was rotten.

beach was nice for the 10 minutes we were not swarmed by aggressive lookie lookie men

this was in the Senegambia area in Kololi

Toying with the idea of wintering ‘27/‘28 in Morocco in the motor home.
Only an idea at the moment but, plenty of time to make it reality

Having the freedom and time to "winter" outside the UK is the ultimate flex. Fair play fella. Jealous

Anyone got any tips for Seville, going in October, taking in Real Betis’ game vs Osasuna as well.
When we went to Seville we did a flamenco dancing show, which was fun.

The ticket for the Setas de Sevilla (‘mushrooms’) allows a return at night when all lit up and was good.

The views of the city from this are very good and better (easier to enjoy) than the cathedral bell tower.

Did it out of Cains,  the 90 min to the reef was terrible, most including me were seasick.  Was told by the crew the voyage is either calm or choppy. I got the choppy ride. A jetty is anchored in the reef so the sea is flat calm.
The reef itself is fantastic and the snorkling is the best in the world.
They also did sea walker experience were you don a helmet and walk on the sea floor about 20 foot down.
Glass bottom boats also ran from the jetty.
I did the glass bottom boat but Mrs did snorkelling. Was only out for a full day, but was a real experience.
    Go do it and enjoy.
Also recommend the scenic train from Cairns and the Danetree Rainforest and a river trip to see the Salt water
Crocs. (And believe me they are BIG)

Did the same from Port Douglas when I was 11 with my family (have family out there) the reef was incredible and a large part of where my obsession with the ocean come from. I remember snorkelling with reef sharks and turtles! The dream is to go back and dive there!

Was there back in 2004 for a week....missed Palace away...Dennis in the last minute....got to stroke a crocodile, wife asked the local 'guide' showing us around if it was safe to do this, his reply was don't worry these crocs are vegetarian, not sure if he was joking but the croc I stroked was pretty timmed and I've still got 4 limbs. It wasn't a bad holiday though we did get pestered quite a bit by local 'guides'.
