I never understand this.

Why would anyone want to sit amongst the West Ham fans? If we score you just have to sit still like a statue and if they score, presumably you have to stand up at least to avoid being "outed " and possibly getting a little slap before being ejected.

Pay a tenner and watch it on Charlton TV and get your mates to come round and watch it with you with a few beers is a much more sensible proposition.

Myself &  @TelMc32 went with a West Ham mate and sat with him, looking around they seemed a really nice bunch. Anyway we agree we couldn’t stay there and left our mate there. We went down the front and spoke to a steward and he walked us around to the away end. Game stars and we scored after 9 seconds.

Maybe I was wrong regarding season ticket sales but if they don't go up and have to align their expectations to a new reality then I maintain what I said.
They have a stadium they hate. If they lose parachute payments they will leave in their droves.

I just couldn’t do this, out of principal and not a chance I don’t celebrate if we scored, love Charlton but not getting my head stoved in for it!!😂

I’ve got a 15 year old who supports Charlton and a 13 year old who supports West Ham.

Hoping to get in the away end lower but have a back up client corporate tickets which could be interesting if we score 

Assume as they’ve pretty much sold out their place in season tickets it will be the usual 3k allocation

Can see West Ham being an intimidating place to go next season 60k no tourists, home support happy they are rid of the perverts and winning every week

If you are able to watch the game knowing you can control your emotions and not let it be known you are an away fan, then why not?

If you are able to watch the game knowing you can control your emotions and not let it be known you are an away fan, then why not?

You've also got to be able to celebrate West Ham goals. 

When Bowen skips past Bell to slam it into the top corner, you have to jump for joy, instead of shouting FFS and slagging off Mesik/Bell/TC/NJ etc

My worst (best ?) moment at Upton Park, couldn't get a ticket in the away end so went with 2 Hammers in their end. Speaking before the match said if Melrose was injured we were going to miss him. Fortunately he was passed fit.
West Ham kicked~off.......

Have been offered a ticket in the West Ham end, but no way could I sit in the home end. Would rather not go.

With the number of people I’ve seen saying they’ve got, or been offered, tickets in the home end I can see us outnumbering WHam fans for this game!!!   😉

But not anywhere near what you actually claimed, ie Charlton would get bigger attendances than West Ham this season.

Looking at the bigger picture and contemplating the ‘rivalry’, West Ham fans meekly accepted their Upton Park betrayal by being promised Unicorns, Millwall fans at least had a reason to accept their loss of their best asset due to it’s crumbling nature, and we didn’t have to pay for the toolbox, but what a chite stadium it is, but at least there you can see the action.
No dog in the fight but on the measure of stadium credibility Millwall edge it.

Do not have any problem with West Ham, a lot of their fans quite like us, probably born of their dislike of the spanners and knowing our rivalry.

I was at that game with a former workmate (from Blackpool but WH was his London team) watched the game in the North Bank had a beer in the Boleyn pub before the game, enjoyed the game/day but not as much as if I'd been in with our crowd.

Yeah, as @guinnessaddick mentioned above, we’d only just got onto our terrace when they kicked off, we nicked it, went through and scored.  We went absolutely mental and when we looked back to where we’d been sitting - near the away end - our mate was in amongst all the Neanderthals going equally mental…but not in a good way!  Very good job we didn’t stay there 😗😂😂

There will be at least 30k Charlton fans in the home end, with West Ham fans forced to buy tickets in the away end as they are the only ones available.
