eh? you are kidding me the scots are just as bad as the irish for that... didnt they all go out and buy argentina tops? think my scotish mate still has one.
and he's a rangers fan. hates the english. he's bitter tho. i can understand that tho, he comes from East Kilbride.

My mate's a Rangers fan (despite being born and still living in Edinburgh) ... we work together in Frankfurt and he has even worn the Argie shirt on occasions over there despite having no interest in Argentina.

And from what he tells me, he is far from being the only one.

I've seen Scots do it but not Irish, but think this is becoming like many other threads and totally drifting off topic with the usual suspects grinding axes and ignoring what is being discussed.

Then he will back me up and say that the new England shirt when it was first released was the best selling football shirt in Scotland.

I am not saying that they all love us, just that I never experienced any of it, a lot of the stuff that was on TV during the last World Cup was stage managed, I know for a fact that the group of neds in Glasgow smashing up the car with an England flag on was. You go to a Rangers game or walk about Glasgow and you will see a lot of England shirts and track suits being worn, something I never saw in Rep Of Ireland.
• DFT, why would you see in England shirts in the Republic?

no i dont think he would... he would be too ashamed if that fact were true, cos as i said he hates the english. We fell out many a time over it.

• It is true. If he is a Rangers fan who hates the English then he is in a minority.

But the population make up of the Republic is vastly different to England. In Ireland there will be a lot more Polish shirts being worn over English shirts simply because there are so many Poles in the country (although this figure is dropping). I would expect there to be quite a few English working north of the border which probably explains the England shirt presence there.
• So who is it that eats dogs? The French, the Irish or the Scots.

I'm confused

And is there a particular football shirt you have to wear while eating one?

Wouldn't want to offend anyone by having the wrong bit of nylon on
•
[cite]Posted By: ValleyGary[/cite]So let me get this straight, Glasgow Rangers supporters support England over Scotland?......wtf.
I didn't say that and I wouldn't say that but there are a large number that do. Rangers fans have a funny relationship with the Scotland team, they hate the tartan army, they hate the "Flower Of Scotland" and a lot of Rangers players have fallen out with the national side, Boyd, Ferguson and McGregor for starters. Rangers players often get booed by the tartan army.

The majority of Rangers fans support Scotland but they don't hate England
• That probably stems from Celtic/Irish hating the English. Its all a bit pathetic really.

A Bolivian shirt from the 1940's. Nothing else is acceptable.
