It's not this month, but 23rd April - I was under the impression that this had been waived, though this article tends to rubbish that. I know that the administrator was unaware of this additional 'special fee' to the landlord whe he took over - and as it's a post administration charge on the Club, it will have to be paid in full.
"Crystal Palace will have to pay an unforeseen one-off charge of £1m on their ground next month. It is understood that the administrator in charge of the freehold of the ground, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), has rejected calls from its counterpart overseeing the club for the charge – effectively a deferred payment from when the previous owner, Simon Jordan, signed up to the lease – to be waived.
Because the administrator, Brendan Guilfoyle, of P&A Partners, is working on a tight budget to see the club through to the end of the season, the payment on top of the £1.2m a year rent could prove pivotal.
Although the windfall from the club's FA Cup run and potential compensation for Neil Warnock, who is widely expected to leave the manager's job to take over at QPR, will help, it is understood that Guilfoyle did not include the charge in his financial projections designed to take the club through to the end of the season.
Following Wednesday's FA Cup fifth-round replay defeat at Aston Villa the club face a relegation battle following the deduction of 10 points when they were placed into administration at the request of the hedge fund Agilo in January.
However, PWC is believed to have come to an agreement with Guilfoyle to reduce the rent on the ground to a more market-friendly rate. It was feared that the punitive rent on the stadium would put off potential purchasers. On Friday Guilfoyle announced that he planned to extend the closing date for bidders to 12 March, claiming that he had received 36 expressions of interest.
There is believed to be no more than a handful of realistic bids, including one from the United States. How serious they are will become clearer when the bidders are asked to place £10m in a nominated bank account to demonstrate their commitment.".....................................

The small Sainsbury's could become a huge hypermarket for them, wouldn't mind betting they are looking at the possibility. They could use half the grounds stands spreading from the end thay have half of and then the ground could still be used for football, with a small capacity to suit non league football. Palace could then follow the footsteps of their former lodgers Wimbledon.
36 bids received but the deadline extended till 12 March - why with all these promising bids would they be extending the deadline - I just don't get it, surely one of those 36 is a serious bidder....hahahahahaha

Somebody will have to bank £10 million to be a serious bidder apparently. My understanding is the owners of the ground will want £10-15M and Tango man will be looking for £20M despite the fact that 15 players are probably only worth £15M. Oh yes, then there's the money owed to the other creditors, £5.5M or more it is now. Serious bidders will then be expected to invest in the team and do something with the ground before it falls apart...and carry on renting a training ground.
If any serious bidders are out there, they should surely be looking to buy a club with its own ground in a much healthier state in my opinion.

If thats an appeal for them to be looking at Charlton, then may I suggest you send it to our administrator Brendan Guilfoyle, who will pass it on to the ones he is not interested in, such as Adickted.

I'll reserve judgement on Warnock as I suspect there are 2 sides to every story........I've lost more respect for certain Charlton Life posters, who are now enjoying this just a little bit too much.
I fear my initial assessment about the end game of this administration is getting closer and closer to being correct.

Bad times.
Come on SOS, we must be allowed a few sly smirks. Not the same as hiring a plane to fly over Selhurst with a "whose laughing now banner".

i agree here Dan, i thought he would of stuck it out to be honest, he seemed really up for Palace, almost a match made in heaven!! Cant stand QPR and cannot think why he would go there!! They are a shit club!!
Do feel for the palace fans tho, and i tell you what, some posters on here should be mindful that this could happen to us soon, so be careful rubbing it in!! I dont like Palace much, but dont wish them out of business!!
[cite]Posted By: Jayajosh[/cite]Ian Dowie to manage palace apparently. Jordan will be pleased!
Fuck it lets bring back Mullery to!
Tonight I am suffering a serious sense of humour failure.......and can state without fear of contradiction that I am absolutely fucking disgusted with the shambolic state my club finds itself in.
Understandable SOS and they but for fortune about £7.5m from our board go we so agree no time to laugh too much.
I know you weren't one of Jordan's fans even a few years ago but I'm still amazed that only in the last few days have the majority of Glazier's fans on the BBS started to see him for what he really is.

Looks like Palace have to find another 1 million this month. All part of the Jordan deal that "secured" the ground.

Isn't he a beckenham boy?
Unfortunately I think its Tottenham, as you say he's a good old Kent boy.
Mind you I must admit I was a little worried when I heard he was a Kent boy originally, I thought he may have been Charlton.
Don't say that too loudly, you'll upset any passing Gills fans.....;-)
Is Danns leaving for Swansea?
Is the Administrator a good guy or a bad guy?
Is Jordan still a hero to palace fans?
Is the £1m fee still payable?
Has the Victor Moses money been released?
So many questions
I think we should have got that from the Moses money via the Football League.
Could be gone by this afternoon!
Henry I know Palace aren't your fave people, but please don't wish him on us.
SSN now saying compensation agreed between QPR and Palace for Warnock. £250k
Now just Warnock's wages to be settled.
QPR can still loan two more players so I figure Speroni and Danns.
Ambrose and Clyne maybe?
or Moses and Fonte. Oh, yeah I forgot.
Be careful what you wish for Henry, his teams are boring, but effective.

Depends if he was pushed or jumped and just what has been going on behind the scenes.
