[cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]Rumour from a Palace fan Budgie.
SSN now saying compensation agreed between QPR and Palace for Warnock. £250k
Now just Warnock's wages to be settled.
QPR can still loan two more players so I figure Speroni and Danns.
If they're still going then, 10 April (Palarse v QPR) will be interesting.
I think Colin would be very well advised to stay away that day.
I can't imagine he'd be welcome at all. But I don't suppose his ex-employers would have any means of preventing him - after all, it's all been above-board and the club (or, rather, its creditors) will be have trousered the £250k he's apparantly worth.
Clearly no one can deny the man the opportunity to attend the game.........but I'd hope you realise that was not the point being made.
I think he will be the target of all the anger and venom the fans are feeling, irrespective of whether he deserves it or not, personally I'd like SJ's head on a stick!!!

But it's Jordan's fault that Palace are in the position they're in. Colin was nothing but good news for Palace - bit of an innocent party, I would say.

How ungrateful you palarse fans are...
When SJ had you up and down the prem faster than a french tart's knickers he was the best thing since uncut bread...
Now you used all his money up all you wanna do is stab the poor bloke in the back...

Not me sunny, you'll not find one post from me supporting that man, cannot be bothered to go in to all the details, but plenty on here know my views on SJ and those have never been good views.
Don't understand the disappointment with Warnock, unless I'm mistaken he went a few weeks without being paid and the future of Palace looked bleak for him financially. You have to get your priories right, although QPR is a strange choice.
But if the compensation from the QPR is the difference between them making it to the end of the season or not, you could argue he's done what's in Palace's best interest.
I feel for the Crystal Palace fans I work with, those I know and very much respect...there are a lot of decent ordinary football fans there, yep misguided but there we go. I also respect budgie and Son of Selhurst, they love their club, and I hope they survive for their sake. I am also mindful that we could be in the chite at some stage soon, and should be very cautious about triumphalism.
However, there are the Palace fans of Jordan loving, scarf burning, train 'steaming' fame. The ones who are dismissive and patronising regarding Charlton...despite the evidence of our fan-powered climb back from obscurity and near oblivion at Selhurst Park...for those fans I don't wish Palace to disintegrate, but maybe the conference. Yes I know there are Charlton fans who are lumpen idiots too....BUT there are also the many many Charlton fans of the Valley Party, community activities, target 10 to 40,000, and so on, who got off their arses and saved us from disintegration.
It is now up to the Palace fans to learn a bit of grace, and to organise themselves, and to save the club they love...come on SoS and Budgie....if we could do it can't you too.....can't you?
At the end of the day uncle Ron will trouser the ground for a half price 6 mil, Tangoman will lose just about everything, but won't kill the club (because he genuinely loves it and his Dad's memories of playing for it), local businessmen (poor sods) will get something like 10p in the £1 and either go bankrupt or close to it, some misguided, but well meaning soul will take on board the palace franchise and the whole wheel will start up again. Soon the palace fans will be sniping back at us again and so be it...wouldn't want it any other way. Fair chance of CPFC being in the dog-do of Div 3 next season, probably with us. Chin up SOS/Budgie it'll be all right in the end. Why if your really lucky you might even get a new stand!
Another sad day for Palace fans. I too have family and friends who are Palace fans and I appreciate how difficult things are for SOS and Budgie all other decent fans who don't deserve the mess the Orange Tosser has landed them in.
I am also impressed with a number of the Palace Trust people who are trying very hard to help to save something of this mess. What concerns me when I read the BBS and HOL is the lack of cohesion in the fans. You are always going to have differences but there seems a great deal of resentment towards those in the Trust who really are going the extra mile.
Whatever happens though Budgie and SOS, your club will survive somehow because clubs in the end live because they mean something to thousands of indivdual fans such as yourselves.
As for Colin, well I can't blame him. Put yourself in his shoes for a minute. On the one hand he has a job until May at best, unless a buyer is found. He is offered big bucks from a club down the road who have funds to really take a tilt at the premier league. Even if he f*cks up, he is guaranteed to earn enough to set him up properly in retirement after all he is 62. Why would he even dither. I wouldn't. Yes he's sad to go. I suspect as well, the compensation for Palace was difficult for the Administrator to ignore.
I can't see the administrator finding cash to pay for a new manager, more likely to be someone that is already there, unless a new buyer is found asap and stumps up some funds.
Way OTT for Warnock to be getting stick over this.
Some reports are saying that QPR are paying Palace around 1 million in compensation - which seems a little high to me - but which is crucial revenue for the club when they absolutely need it most.
They can't sell any more players until the end of the season and have no other way of generating new revenue - remember the 5-year season tickets? - so Warnock's departure will probably pay the wages for most of the rest of the season.
If he had stayed then the chances of them staying up would have been greater but the point is that they should stay up anyway given the decent squad they have - thanks to Warnock - and the crap that is around them at the bottom.

I don't think he detest him as much as me though.
Does anyone know where the orange tosser has hidden himself over the past fortnight?

I would suggest he is hanging around in Seville, Jaffa or perhaps Argentina.

So that's februarys wages sorted then.
