[cite]Posted By: JimboCAFC[/cite]I've been there a few times in Cold Blown Lane, I'm not going to lie but I was with the Preston lot yesterday I'll even take a picture of my ticket and post it on here.
My brother lives in Brockley... if he went to watch Millwall when Charlton were playing he wouldnt be allowed round at Christmas again ;-)
Speaking of which what the hell is going on with all the speed bumps around there? Just dropped him off home and think Id lost an axle by the time I got to Catford....never known anything like it!

That would be great, thanks.
Unrivalled in the subtlety, Chirpy, simply unrivalled.

Whereabouts in Brockley? I used to go to school that way.
[cite]Posted By: JimboCAFC[/cite]Yeah I can understand but if it is from small sections then the whole club's fan base can't really be blamed in my opinion
Course they can. Because they could do something about it. If it's a minority then the majority could out them once and for all. That they don't is because they all revel in it and it doesn't offend them.
As for going to Millwall when you are allegedly a Charlton fan. Even if you were supporting Preston why would you want to go to that shit hole and give them your hard earned cash. If you wanted to see a game then there are plenty on non league sides around who'd have been glad of your cash. Going there and Sellout makes you come away feeling as if you need a good long soak in a bath.
I went to Gordonbrock School when I lived in Ladywell and then Crofton School when I moved to Catford (which ain't there anymore - the school that is, not Catford!)
I went to Gordonbrock also as I lived in Crofton Park. What happened to the school?? Didn't realise it had shut down.
Can't get my head around this 'I'm a Charlton supporter but watch Millwall stuff'.

Nah, Gordonbrock is still there - at least it was went I went past a year or so ago. Crofton has gone. They knocked it down and built one of them new Academy Schools I think.
JimboCAFC - rise above it mate. Some of the "how can you possibly support Charlton and watch the odd games at Millwall" brigade don't even get to the Valley regularly. I never fail to be amazed at how passionate some of our internet fans are.
JimboCAFC- we are, just not this season. You can't write them off yet, who knows in a play off situation.
Off_it- cheers, I've drove past it a million times and never even noticed.
Cardinal Sin- it's friendly banter. If Jimbo wants to go there it's up to him, personally it's not for me but I'll rib him about it just as I would a Millwall fan for being a Millwall fan.
Ha ha. Jimbo taking stick for being honest. My family are Charlton, so it's in my blood. But when I was a kid I used to go with my mates to Millwall and Palace. It was good fun hanging out with my mates but I could never get emotionally involved in the games like I was at the Valley. The Millwall 'docker' banter was particularly good in those days. I only go (with my Millwall mate) to the Den at Charlton matches so my value judgement is not worth much but these days the Millwall fans seem to be more lowlife than they used to be. My mate says the banter can still be very funny but often rude. They are definately more racist than us Charlton which is weird as they have several black players in their team. In fact they give racist abuse to their own black players if they don't play well. They also seem to glory in smoking and drinking cans of lager in the concourses with an 'up yours' attitude to the stewards, who do bugger all (and who can blame them). But I gather our lads do the same in the covered end bogs, so maybe we are not so different after all.
Got to say i have seem Millwall play a few times and everytime im willing them to lose and most of the time they do,bar of late they have a history of being wank
[cite]Posted By: JimboCAFC[/cite]Sorry im confused there, I have a season ticket at Charlton and attend the odd Millwall game, neither team are going up this season?
Fella, you're doing the same thing that many people in the 50's to 70's did every other week, my old man being one who went to watch Charlton regularly as well. It's just nowadays it seems a lot of Charlton get very worked up about little ol' Millwall when apparently Charlton are much more superior in every way, I do wonder why Charlton get so worked up about a tin pot club from Bermondsey.

1 - have never heard racial abuse to our own players
2 - smoke in the toilets not on the concourse
3 - people drinking cans outside the ground but not inside, most people are searched
[cite]Posted By: JimboCAFC[/cite]I heard the old stories about people in the 50's going down to both Charlton and Millwall together, I don't understand why I get stick for going to club who I couldn't ever hate due to knowing and liking quite a few people who are Millwall supporters. My family on my Mother's side originate from Brockley and therefore wouldn't it be wrong for me to hate a football club that family support?
Sparrer, I am not making it up. At the last derby game when you thrashed us 4-0 I saw what I saw and heard in the Millwall stand. Bloke sitting two rows behind me having a right dig at one of your black players. My mate and L looked at each other and thought we were back in the 60's when such comments were rife. It was odd having a go at his own player.Who knows. It might have been Billyboy from the HOF website for all i know who is infamous for his racist views. In the bogs at half time smoking and drinking all over tha place with guys outside carrying on. One little asian steward who did not get involved at all. No one searched us going in the stand. Anyways it's a much better place to watch football than at the old den. You can only imagine how sick I was having to get up and clap every time you scored. What a nightmare day that was.
So worked up? This isn't so worked up at all, simply the ongoing debate as to why Millwall are associated with such unpleasantness. As for people getting so worked up, well you could say that the whole (non-Millwall) world is what Millwall get worked up about when you lament that 'no one likes us'.

That would be great, thanks.
Don't you mean our local rivals?

Bit of a silly question that ain't it?
Been there, got spanked, not got a good record against them, I'm saving my dough for Barnsley away.

There you go then - "it didn't happen" say Millwall. So, that's ok then.
