I used to go to The Den with a an old mate (A mutual work colleague of me and Covered End) back in the 80's. Never saw even a hint of trouble. I didn't support them, just went to football with mates in your 20's . It happens. Get over it.
I went to a few games at the old Den back in the 80's with a mate from school. There was always a bit of trouble, no matter who they were playing (and bearing in mind this was old 3rd division stuff). Also remember a black goalkeeper of theirs (Granville or Glanville, something like that) getting some stick - off their own fans! - and Ruel Fox getting an unbelievable ammount of racist abuse - bananas on the pitch and all sorts.
Only "banter, of course. In fact it probably never happened if there's no TV evidence.
Also remember seeing Terry Hurlock get dropped off outside the ground - by a white van - and run into the players entrance (late) in scruffy jeans and some manky t-shirt.
Whilst Charlton are represented by the likes of Jim Davidson and Bradley Wright-Phillips who stood there laughing as his pals went through barmaids bags.

Jarman, stop getting so emotional and uptight about me. I'm only a mug, calm down!
SLL has a good point imo , the only real reason they annoy me now is because we are crap in L1 and they are riding high in the CCC.I've never 'hated' them except when we play them as local rivals . They went off my radar completely for the 13 years that we were in a higher Division than them . Whilst we were in the Prem and I still lived south of the River I would even occasionally go to the Den to watch CCC / L1 Football as i like to see teams in the different Divisions play as well as going to Charlton . I was also one of those in the 70's who often went to Millwall . Personally I never enjoyed it at the old Den as much as my trips to the Valley which is why ultimately I became a Charlton fan our fans / ground always seemed friendlier . Racism was always present there amongst the support even though the club itself were one of the first to have regular black players with Trevor Lee and the pre Charlton Phil Walker.
As far as this debate goes , it is clear that their support generally has a harder edge than ours . There is also a 'minority' who take that harder edge to the extreme . My interest is what do their club / fans think of this and normally they try to justify it .'Noone likes us we don't care'.
This means Millwall have a problem , often we hear these media reports from black players or undercover journalists . Sometimes like once when a journo reported Brighton fans singing 'Seagulls' as Millwall fans openly singing 'zieg heil' it is utter nonsence , but I feel there is too much of this for it to be ignored .
I can't believe this thread has had so many comments, we are Charlton, f*ck Millwall let them talk about their own reputation to which they dwell on so often.

According to this thread it seems you dwell on it more than us.
Especially poor Jarman who seems to wet his knickers over little Millwall.
Why would we dwell on your reputation? It's just a discussion topic, which does have too many comments yes, but we talk about other clubs on here not just Millwall.
And if you are a proper Millwall fan you'd know full well what I mean when I say you dwell on your reputation because your fans clearly do!
CAFCOlly i don't you, so stop being a nob head. I think your a Millwall fan. I just think 6 pages of moaning is pointless and pathetic. We have bigger things to worry about at the moment
conor you are a millwall fan don't be ashamed of it
CAFC_Connor is a Millwall fan for a fact. No one can justify chanting 'Let him die' without being a Millwall fan. Only at Millwall.
Bolton striker Sordell claims he and team mates were racially abused yesterday by Millwall racists. A club that despite one or two decent people supporting them, can not lift themselves out of the gutter.
We shall see what get's proven and what statements Prattley, the Korean, Afobe, the Millwall subs and others make to the police. Loads of mics down there apparently so should pick anything up if Sordell heard what he has alleged correctly.

If you don't want to read it then don't open it mate. It's really that simple.
More hits than Rachel Riley and so it may continue

Classy club.

Was it Granville or Glanville SLL? I think it was Brian Granville, but you would know better.
Do you remember the "banter" he received? And how about Ruel Fox - do you remember that?
Still, probably not as bad abuse as the Charlton Lisbie song or the mass morning arrests the police made with your chairman last year, eh?
