Would be gutted if he went to Chelsea. They haven't produced a home grown player since Terry. I do wonder if Palmer will get a game when he's old enough.
good pal is in the no there. told me last week.his words were we are getting this kid all at the arsenal cup game. thay say his the new paul ellott. big and strong. well see,i so much hope not.
also told by the same person we had a boy lined up from barca, who thay got from leeds when 15,now18 home sick when all the take over was going on at the airport to come over with parents and we phone them to say we could not afford hotel bill but im told it mite still be a goer. center half.
From what I've been told from a friend and reliable source who has coached Gomez from a young age and knows his family well is that he has signed a very decent contract. He is different to Kasey Palmer in that he does not have a pushy family behind him and is content to grow and develop with us. As always there are many different factors that can see a youngster move on but Im hopeful he will be with us for a while yet.

It's a terrible waste of a young player's talent to move to Chelsea. He (or Kasey Palmer) would never see the first team there.
Depends what the kid thinks though. He might well think training with better quality players with better facilities, playing against teams in europe and no doubt picking up a couple of grand a week more than we'd pay him is better for him.
Sure. Plus, he can say 'I play for Chelsea' when he's trying to pull.
It's hard to blame players for going to more prestigious clubs with better facilities/staff/financial packages. But for every Paul Elliot, there's a John Bostock.

Beeney is unlikely to have been mucked around because his Dad is Chelsea's Goalkeeping Coach .
More likely the family want him to play for a different club because his brother Mitchell is in front of him in Chelsea's Development Squad.
