  • I looked on iplayer for something and because it’s my mothers maiden name I watched Róisín Murphy.
Not boring, though I wish I had used subtitles.

Who recommended Confidence Man? Fucking brilliant, Australia has a way of producing these acts, Cut Copy being the most obvious
You are welcome @Rothko - watched their set twice on iplayer - so much energy.
The albums have been rotate while I’ve driving this afternoon, it’s musical cat nip to me
  • What time the PSB being shown on the Beeb tonight? Can’t be dealing with staying up to 1am again!
  • Love Dian Ross but her voice has gone.
  • Jack White doing a great job on the Park Stage.

I just said the same to my wife and then read this.
I have to agree with all the comments, unfortunately her singing is painful, cheese in your ears bad.

  • Seriously, people who sit on shoulders at a concert/festival lose the right not to be coined in the head

Was just thinking that....... poor sods at the back don't only have to strain their eyes to see anything, what little view they do have is obscured by a sea of flags, or to use their true meaning, selfish vanity objects.
  • I’m about a day behind so catching up but favourites so far are Foals, TLC, Megan Thee Stallion, Primal Scream, Griff, Wolf Alice, Supergrass.

Some of Billie Eilish was OK but don’t really understand the hype. Thought Sam Fender was disappointing.

Haven’t watched Macca, Libs or Noel yet. Really looking forward to Kendrick tonight. Big fan but not really seen a good live performance from him outside of the Super Bowl. Hope he smashes it.

Anyone taken kids there before? Debating next year with our son who will be almost four this time next year.

Would absolutely do my nut in if I were behind someone like that. Think I’d lose my shit (if I ever had the inclination to actually go to a festival rather than watch from my front room)

If it wasn’t for the collateral damage to innocents  it would be a bottle of piss thrown at them

Not taken my own son before he was 14 but been with friends with younger kids. Can work fine if you and the other half are well-organised and chilled out but there's a lot of walking and I'd pray for good weather. Probably best in a group where you can take it in turns with child minding in the evening

    What time?

Waiting for Top Gear to come on so caught the end of Diana Ross. Christ, like a really bad karoake.

Noted. My son also hates a buggy to the point where we don’t have one. Fine, because he’s always walked everywhere but think we’d need one at a place like that. Maybe it’s not such a good idea!

been a relatively casual fan but their latest stuff has got my attention.
  • Olly Alexander is so weird, I really like Years and Years generally and yet he can never hit his own notes any time I see him live on anything.

Back in the day birds on shoulders was just about acceptable, if they were fit.

Geezers on shoulders should be a bottle of piss round the head every time.

But times have changed since I used to regularly go to gigs, festivals, etc. These days I think people would be genuinely shocked if someone lobbed a bottle of piss.  Can't think why.

It's still common at Kasabian gigs.
