Filming an injured player is one thing, filming his crying wife whilst he’s getting cpr is quite another.

A few people on here are being very insensitive.

Fair play to his teammates. That was some of the bravest stuff I’ve seen on a pitch.

They will have doctors and all the necessary equipment to hand which is positive along with the reports he left the pitch on oxygen.

Deeply upset. Praying, and I’m an atheist.

Same as you I'm an atheist but I was begging nature to save him.
It looks like there's hope with the pictures.

I just felt for Schmeichel throughout all of that, especially when he ran to Christian's wife...

the bloke has already been forced to endure so much what with that night in Leicester, doesnt deserve to endure more of it!!

A Danish journalist is giving some good news but not hearing it confirmed that he has come round.

The photo posted upthread looks encouraging.

Hopefully he will be ok. Horrible situation and can't imagine how it makes the players and spectators feel

If you're going to have a medical emergency, a football stadium is a bloody good place to have one.

Those players would have understandably wanted to walk away and not see what was happening to their friend but they stayed and stood around him to block out the cameras.

For as much as we criticise the refs Anthony Taylor dealt with that really well.

As soon as he reacts like that everyone knew it was serious.

Diabolical coverage from host broadcasters and the bbc.  No dignity , professionalism or common sense .

I think we should close this thread out of respect.

Respectfully disagree. It's not like we can just not talk about it. I think it would be more odd if it was it's own thread.

Totally agree, the BBC should have cut away.

Pipe down with the captain hindsight “they should have cut away” comments. I don’t believe anyone realised how bad it was. Cameras zoom in on injured players all the time and no one complains. It was assumed he’d get up and be fine.
    Did you see it live?

The very first shot of him a couple of seconds after he went down it was clear that this was not a footballing injury.

I literally shuddered and shouted “oh my god” at the screen.

Yes - and Kasper is a giant of a man in every sense.

Truly shocking to watch but the signs are encouraging.

Come on Christian, hang in there.
