Be great if we got in the playoffs - to do that we'd need to win a lot of games which in itself will be great and the play offs are exciting which is surely what we all want when we go to a match. The going up is the good bit - losing most week's once you've gone up is the shitty bit but worth it for the buzz we'd have getting there. All this we're not ready stuff - course we're not but who cares - if nothing else, we'd bag millions.

    Analysed, this says:

    1. To get promoted you have to win games.
    2. Play-off games are exciting.
    3. In the premier league, we would lose a lot of games.
    4. We would get money from going up.

    Banal points.

gave my answer to the question - you need to find some excitement in your life son - this is a football forum - why not type in porn hub, knock one out, try and get yourself back on an even keel and get over your 2-0 defeat yesterday. It's only a game , stop being so sore about it, and everything else for that matter.

Yeah i'll try it thanks. In truth I wouldn't have ripped you here - its just that you come across smug and really you don't say anything with any insight. Suppose everyone is welcome to their view but it's just a shame your banal comments clog up the feed.

yeah, of course - guess you'll be on here even more if we go above you next week - if it helps you i'm sure we could tolerate it - consider it care in the community

    Ronnyjackson - congratulations !

You achieved your objective, a long time ago, of being the biggest WUM on CL.

As everyone has recognised your significant achievement, it really is no longer necessary to bore everyone to death.

Please could you now adopt a more adult approach.

Thanking-you in advance of your kind cooperation in this matter.

we have all of a sudden got some momentum going if we can get a couple of faces in before the deadline then i think we have got as good a chance as any ,home form must improve though we need to get in other teams faces at home and show em we aint gonna get bossed about on our home patch.

Mm yeah true we would. Especially against sides like Chelsea and Manchester United. Because they're good.

I don't think we will get there and I would not want the fans to get carried away and the weight of expectation cause the season to de rail as we know that bar spuds this club has a very big percentage of fickle support base

Just go about the job quietly and professionally and see what happens

This. One game at a time. See what happens with this transfer window.

Lets enjoy the victories but keep our feet on the ground.

Remember Derby, a lot of teams in recent years havent recovered since their seasons and even 1 season there. Bham/wolves/bburn arnt doing so well since they have come down.

We are a mid table team in a tight league, carry on our run and we will be close but if we loose a few we could drop to 18th. I would love us to get into the play offs although I dont think we will. being 12-14th and safe with 10 games to go and blood some of the youngsters will be better long term for the club but would love the excitement of a good late run and another 2-3 games.

I don't see why we couldn't make the playoffs if we keep playing like we have been in the past few games. I'm sure CP is thinking one game at a time but being the competitor that he is it must be in the back of his mind. If we do make it who knows what could happen. For me it would be a big bonus but if we finished in the top six come May I would be very happy.

I'm sure you're right, Rob. Chris Powell will take one game at a time.
    It's the way he works.

He'll want to reach a safety target asap. Then he'll still go to win one game at a time.
Nothing new here. Curbs did the same.

I'd rather have a season going to the big grounds, beat a man united at home maybe and then get relegated and get the considerable parachute money for 4 years.

Champions league final in two years time will be a doddle from now on.

I'd take the playoffs if it meant we went up and came back down with more money in the bank to buidl a team capable of challenging. Look at WBA. Come ot think of it, look at us in '98! I don't understand why anyone would say no?!

February should give us a much clearer idea of whether the playoffs are a possibility - we play Palace, Hull, Leicester and Forest, all of who are currently above us. If we carry on our run for the next month then we'll be sitting very comfortably.

Also, on a selfish note, after winning 800 pounds on Charlton going up as champions last year, I'd enjoy the 1475 that comes with them being promoted this time round!
