I quite enjoyed the final episode. So much went on that it highlighted how thin the previous episodes had been. Why do people think that Joe did not do it? He has never denied that he killed Danny. All he ever said was that (from memory of an earlier episode) that other people should be held to account for what happened. He did it. The flashbacks in series 1 showed him doing it. He was only found not guilty because the defence counsel were able to put doubt in the jury's mind because of the possibility that Mark could have killed him.
That aside, I did chuckle at the end when Joe was led out of the hut and the people inside it were already half way down the hill looking back at him. It was either a massive cock-up or artistic licence. You decide!
