I am not arguing about priority, rather I am discussing what makes you 'genuine'. I reckon that there are many overseas who feel the same hurt and joy as the rest of us, and would love to be at games. I agree that everybody knows the score about ticket priority and have to adjust accordingly, I disagree that the only genuine fans are those who go to every game. Those who do go to every game are not genuine fans, they are heroes of the first order ;-)
For the last time. I used the wrong word. Seth I explained this in the post just before yours.
I meant fans that genuinely go regularly enough to justify buying a season ticket but choose not to. Those that didn't miss a home game for 75 years but haven't been this season cannot have a gripe about not getting a ticket as they knew the rules - even though it now seems likely they will get one.
I'm not digging you out Seth but having a couple of posts complaining about what I said was fair enough but to keep getting them when I've explained my mistake does defeat the point of me bothering to explain myself.
There are some on here (not Seth) who love a misrepresentation even when you elaborate to remove any real or imagined ambiguities.
Especially when you're only one game from Wembley !
This. If we were away to Sheff Utd in the 3rd round we would be lucky to take 1,000
Would you have prefered us to not sell out then ?
Of course not, I was merely pointing out the glamour of the cup gets stronger in the later rounds. There are still some pretty piss poor attendances in the earlier rounds due to lack of interest from both fans and managers who rest key players.

Yer very true, our attitude to the cup in recent years has been appauling.
One thing I have just thought of, does it not worry people that when we have taken a massive away following ( Fulham middlesboro Blackburn ) we been spanked???

This is the same for any club though. In the 4th round of the league cup Sunderland got 15k for a home tie with Southampton. 2 rounds later they took 9k to Old Trafford.

Better bl00dy win now !
I nocied on Sheff U's website that they had a lot of tickets keft.
We have a cup quarter final about once a decade on average. We go to Millwall most seasons. Milwall will still sell out anyway.
It's the lure of Wembley more than the romance of the FA Cup.
But top effort to sell over 5k tickets in such a short space of time - little Charlton eh?

Thuram-Ulien can play right mid.
