For a fiver the M&S deli burger is very good

@dave21 the Byron burger near me is so busy it's not worth bothering with

Burger & Lobster surely the best in London?

I love their lobster rolls but their burgers are outrageously priced at £20. They're pretty good but nowhere near the quality of Patty & Bun or Honest Burger and twice the price.
    The Lobster Rolls are amazing

Went to a place called Tommi's on Marylebone high street last week. Very good burger reasonably priced with good fries. Not sure if it's independent or a chain.

Five Guys is probably my favourite, not really in to going to a nice restaurant and getting a burger, rather get steak or ribs.

The Hungry Years in Manchester Piccadilly in the 80's (UK).
Point Village Resort, Negril, Jamaica - fantastic home produced 1/2 lb burger, leanest beef topped with hot West Indian sauce (and washed down with a chilled beer) - fond memories.

We ate at Byron Burger on Charing Cross Road last year and all we could smell was urine wafting up from the downstairs loo.

Really not the ambience I need to enjoy food!

The irony was that the Manager refused to accept our comments and thought we were trying to get a discount - trust me, I know the smell of stale, dehydrated wee.
