Derby - Charlton - Post match views

The latest Trust survey to be announced tomorrow will lead to 86% of CAFC fans wanting all Saturday games abolished and more midweek games.

Another grim Saturday, and again unable to build momentum following a great midweek win. The late equalizer at millwall the only saving grace of the day.

Not gonna make this easy are we.

Look forward to hearing.later from those there.

We seem to specialise in being the subject of comfortable home wins when we travel away (Leicester, Burnley, Doncaster and now Derby).

Sounds like we were poor in the first half, gave it a go early in the second, but once we didn't score Derby were able to see out the game with relative ease.

    On to Leeds.

Everyone at the bottom are at least scoring goals except us. Stating the bleedin' obvious I know but we have no one who can stick the bloody ball in the back of the frigging net.

Didn't expect much from today, Derby was our toughest fixture left on paper and it's now out the way.

Beat Leeds and we create a nice 5 point gap between us and Yeovil, Millwall.

4 wins will be enough to keep us up. Biggest problem is we aren't scoring goals.

The BBC guy in Final Score thought the score was slightly unfair on us, it's wins that count anyway, Leeds away is one we really need to target. Birmingham only 5 points ahead of us and have played 3 games more...

    Wasn't there.

Not really shocked by this. Derby are a good team with their tails up, so we knew there was not much chance of getting anything from this game. First half really done it for us. Sounded like we made a bit more of a fist of it after the break, changing to 4-4-2, but the damage was done.

On the plus side, other results went okay for us. Would've preferred a draw at Yeovil, but if anyone was going to win that game, I'd rather Barnsley. Nice to also hear Blackburn getting a late equaliser. Keeps us 3 pts clear.................

Obviously losing 3-0 is never great but we've just played 3 teams that all might be in the premier league next season. Happy we even got 3 points out of it tbh and we're not in the drop zone with another game gone. We have to be positive and move on. We have 10 games left to get more points than the teams below us have in 7/8 games. We can do it.

Didn't think we'd get anything today. Didn't think we'd score today.

Pleased that it sounds like we had a go second half. Could easily have folded completely.

Hopefully we can take advantage of the mess Leeds are in. But if we don't we will still have 2 more points than I thought we'd get from the 3 games.

Still in our own hands. Perhaps today will kill off Yeovil's little run and Millwall still can't win.

Seems from what I have heard that we rallied fairly well in the second half but our inability to grab a goal meant that spell petered out.

Real yo-yo stuff at present. Lose 0-3 to Burnley, win 1-0 at Forest, Lose 3-0 at Derby - what price a 1-0 win at Leeds? Could happen but unlikely to keep McCormack out so we will need to score at least one to draw and two to win. Still in our hands but the home games coming up against Reading and Yeovil are key; we just have to win those.

Getting beat against a good side like Derby gives us stuff to work on and shows us where we get found out. It's massively clutching at straws I know!!

Not too fussed about the result as we aren't really worse off for it. Games in hand are the ones that count. Lose against Leeds and it's squeaky bum time. Win and we will stay up.

Edit: Annoyed for the fans that went tho, 3-0 is not easy for them to take when they've travelled and spent money.

Harriot needs to stop trying to be a gangsta and concentrate on football utterly heartless today two stupid mistakes cost us the game today

Blackburn saved this from being a terrible weekend.

Wasn't expecting any points from this game, so hopefully the players can focus quickly onto Tuesday.

Didn't think we would get anything today against a good solid Derby team.Def have to agree the games in hand are the ones where we have to pick points up from but how sick must Millwall feel right now

    Flu or something like that.

Disappointed but not unexpected, could have been worse, move on to Leeds. Yeovil and Barnsley are crucial drop points v them and I'll sharpen the razor blades

Will get relegated with many more performances like that!

Bonus match against high flying high scoring side, move on chaps

Cheers. The man's a walking illness/injury, not what we need in this crucial time.. Michael Owen could clock more minutes than he can.

In the pre-match thread I predicted a 2-0 defeat & at half time I said that anything more than a 3-0 defeat would be a disaster because as goal difference could be so vital at the end of the season so I am not too unhappy this evening - esp as Blackburn twice came from behind to keep the wall to just a point..........and with 10 men too.

Something in my heart says that we will stay up as I think we will get 3 or 4 points from our games in hand & think that we will do enough against Barnsley & Yeovil at home to keep us safe.

but I do wonder where the goals are going to come from. I have never witnessed a season where we are so lightweight in front of goal & just don't know how its going to change.

Never expected anything today. Winning at Forest was better than drawing there and today. However two goals in six games says something simple to me. Riga is essentially unable to do anything Powell could not do with this squad, because this squad is simply not good enough, RD has not improved it, and up front it was weakened by the decision to sell Kermorgant.

The starting line up with three "strikers" looked odd to me. At Yeovil, I could understand it. At Derby????. . And two of those strikers having so far failed to justify any confidence in previous appearances?

Perhaps he read my preview.. ;)

Let's not draw attention to it. I think Church is like some sort of satanic demon sent to suck the soul out of our championship status. If we don't talk about him maybe he'll fade from existence. If we do talk about him, perhaps he grows stronger in his quest....
