If he does sign you just know, after all this build up, he's either not going to settle and head back to a French Div 2 team for £200k next summer - or pull a hamstring against Colchester and retire in two years having played 4 times. It's the Charlton way.

It only seems like that because it's being talked about non stop on here, Twitter etc. In June the club announced they had agreed a fee for Vetokele and it didn't go through until a week later. The player has to agree terms, the clubs have to agree a fee, the player has to find somewhere to live, paperwork has to be completed. We could be working on signing another player while this is going on (and players leaving, e.g. Reza), Tours may want to find a replacement as well as trying to push up the fee. There are plenty of reasons why it might take longer than a couple of days to complete.

Clearly it's his agent trying to get the most money for his client. Can't say I blame them either judging by some of the interest he has received from various clubs.

Having watched the youtube vid he looks pretty average & surely not worth 2.5 mill, yes he scored goals & looks very quick but against poor defending & goalkeeping & appeared to be easily moved off the ball.If anything possibly one for the future, surely not ready for championship football. I really hope we can get this rumour of Delort coming to us sorted out. It seems to have deflected any real thoughts of the first game in my eyes. Athletico did say it was nearly a done deal, fingers crossed it does get done as he could be the final piece in the jigsaw.
