Would say the Andre Gray deal is more like Stuart Fleetwood... Dickson was coming from a lower level whilst Fleets had the pressure of having scored loads at a higher level
Surprised Brentford lost Clayton Donaldson on a bosman to Birmingham... probably a similar case to Diego Poyet and us (although I wouldnt be surprised if Brentford finished above Birmingham this season)
nothing like poyet, donaldson had only been there a couple of years, Poyet's been here for 8 years and we made him

FFS!! - Similar to they way they've left their clubs not how long they've been there.
i.e. We lost Poyet to a bosman because we werent quick / smart enough offering him a good Contract until it was too late and others were sniffing around i.e. Brentford have lost Clayton Donaldson on a bosman as well... probably because they werent quick / smart enough offering him a good Contract till it was too late too (after all he's been their top scorer for the last few years)
Brentford did offer him a new contract on improved terms but he decided to go to Brum. However he is 30 and they havn't been screwed over like we have because they havn't spent eight years and xx amount nuturing his talent. If you can't see the difference ....

I think rd has done pretty good this summer. Yer he did fuck up January big time but the stadium is spruced up and we have tried to keep our best players and have added decent quality so far. I'd say 4 players are needed. A back up to Harriotts, a good cb to replace dervite, a decent striker and a person to challenge pope and we have a good squad. However the striker needs a bit of money spent on it.

LOL......... that had me creased up :-0
I did wonder . Didn't we nearly sign him on loan around the time of his one Arsenal appearance ? I know he had horrific injuries subsequent to this .
Sorry just seen this reported in the Championship signings thread.
