  • Would say the Andre Gray deal is more like Stuart Fleetwood... Dickson was coming from a lower level whilst Fleets had the pressure of having scored loads at a higher level

Surprised Brentford lost Clayton Donaldson on a bosman to Birmingham... probably a similar case to Diego Poyet and us (although I wouldnt be surprised if Brentford finished above Birmingham this season)

nothing like poyet, donaldson had only been there a couple of years, Poyet's been here for 8 years and we made him

FFS!! - Similar to they way they've left their clubs not how long they've been there.

i.e. We lost Poyet to a bosman because we werent quick / smart enough offering him a good Contract until it was too late and others were sniffing around

  • Brentford did offer him a new contract on improved terms but he decided to go to Brum. However he is 30 and they havn't been screwed over like we have because they havn't spent eight years and xx amount nuturing his talent. If you can't see the difference ....
  • Heard that the Origami deal has been scrapped..

    That's torn it.

We had talks with Hendersons agent but never went back with a firm offer.

I did wonder . Didn't we nearly sign him on loan around the time of his one Arsenal appearance ? I know he had horrific injuries subsequent to this .

  • Brentford set to sign winger Moses Odubajo from Orient, fee in excess of 1m. Now that is a very decent signing.

For orient . 1mil is ridiculous.

sorry do you mean that for Orient 1m isn't enough?

  • £1m is a lot for Odubajo!!!

No. Too much for a player unproven in The Championship. Orient have done well .
  • ok, got you now. Please try to be more concise in future ;-)

  • Odubajo is quality, would've been a great signing for us.

  • I think rd has done pretty good this summer. Yer he did fuck up January big time but the stadium is spruced up and we have tried to keep our best players and have added decent quality so far. I'd say 4 players are needed. A back up to Harriotts, a good cb to replace dervite, a decent striker and a person to challenge pope and we have a good squad. However the striker needs a bit of money spent on it.
  • sign him up!
  • Heard that the Origami deal has been scrapped..

I wondered how that one would unfold.

    Wow. Another World Cup goalscorer.
  • Twitter linking us with Roger Johnson. Would be a good experienced defender to add to the squad.
  • Can't see either of the two quoted above joining us.

    Isn't he a bit of a troublemaker?
  • Wolves fans seem universally to think he is a toxic and disruptive influence and can't wait to see the back of him.
  • I'm sure nla said something along those lines about him recently.
