****Luzon Sacked (and Damian Matthew and David Martane)****

Right decision but i do feel rather sad tonight regarding the club as a whole.22

Feel for him. Loved his lunacy, for a long time last season I had high hopes. He has in part been shafted by the owner but he is also a victim of his own stubborness.
The owner has to get this right. Unfortunately I don't think he will.
After KMs comments last week its clearly RD who has pulled the plug, really concerned that McKay was at the game - the fact that the whole coaching team has gone suggests they have someone lined up.24 -
Gutted for Matthew, though pretty sure he will pick up a decent job pretty soon. Nathan Jones and Ben Roberts must be hating life at Brighton.
Cheers Guy and all the best15 -
that's not difficultMacronate said:KM looks the biggest idiot out of all of this.

Makes sense doesnt it... No point sacking him after Preston because there were only a handful of days between Preston and Brentford.
Sack him this Saturday because it means that the new man (Sorry I mean Mackay) now has a full week to work with the players before our next Match1 -
It's two months until the transfer window and I can't see any talismans arriving in the form of a short-term loan. The replacement is gonna have to take any assurances at face value.lancashire lad said:for once I agree with Colin, the owner hasn't backed Guy with the number of players he requested, let's hope that his replacement demands more before he signs
At least our pitch looks nice and there is real ale now though.3 -

I'm also glad Matthews has gone, he's been involved for far too long and is tarnished with failure. I hope they sack all the medical staff as well the injury prevention and recovery process has been a disaster for sometime now.4

I'm not sure Malkay is the answer to our problems, but at least he's versed with working with difficult owners.1

Got a match on manage-inder, the football manager version of tinder. Katrien's dating them as we speak. #fingerscrossed #datenight #sorrynotsorryhudson-son-son said:
We've interviewed 40 managers in those 2 hours.ken_shabby said:Two hours to do that? Mind you, Katerin must feel an idiot, after backing him a week ago.

Sacking him took longer than appointing him.ken_shabby said:Two hours to do that? Mind you, Katerin must feel an idiot, after backing him a week ago.

Looked untenable after yet another shocking performance. Yet makes RD look like an absolute clown. 10 months after all the fanfare and KM's sound bites about GL being our man and a period of stability and success to ensue, we're back to square 1. If they're next appointment doesn't make the grade then they really are a laughing stock. If they aren't already6

You do post some strange things. Why not elaborate a bit?colin1961 said:Glad Matthews as gone .... Feel sorry for Guy

I hope they've learned from the last appointment process which was a debacle i.e don't 'pretend' to interview 20 people in an afternoon then give it to Fraeye.Henry Irving said:A clean sweep of the coaching staff so who takes training on Monday.
Sorry to hear about Damian as seemed a good bloke.
Luzon's job was safe a few days ago. Another PR disaster.
Karel Fraeye or Uve Rossler are my guesses.0 -
Totally agree with Matthew going alsoBrentwoodMark said:I'm also glad Matthews has gone, he's been involved for far too long and is tarnished with failure. I hope they sack all the medical staff as well the injury prevention and recovery process has been a disaster for sometime now.

Stop sacking managers you clown. GIVE THE CLUB SOME FUCKING STABILITY
Edit: People seem to think this is a rational decision. I'm going to go have a labotomy3 -
Hopefully they'll hire someone who is actually legally allowed to work in this country this time.11

Sacking your own Sir Alex Ferguson after backing him just a week ago Katrien......10

Same old until Roland sells up. Laughing stock.8

Wouldn't be surprised if certain players suddenly become a lot fitter now Luzon has gone.BrentwoodMark said:I'm also glad Matthews has gone, he's been involved for far too long and is tarnished with failure. No names, no Angolan pack drill.11 -
Luzon was clearly a dead man walking, but is world class idiocy to get rid of Matthew too.7
-
Personally agree that the coaching staff had to go as well, though our squad is not the strongest they've not had a chance to play as good as they could have.0
-
I think its the right decision, clean sweep and let someone bring in the staff they want.InspectorSands said:Luzon was clearly a dead man walking, but is world class idiocy to get rid of Matthew too.

All very well if they're good enough to last a season.cafcnick1992 said:Stop sacking the fucking managers. WE NEED A MANAGER WHO IS GOING TO LAST THE SEASON.
Also he was not a manager we haven't had a manager since Powell only head coaches. If we had a manager we might do ok.4 -
Stuart Gray would be perfect for you guys, he did wonders on a small budget up here.15

New manager being interviewed now - Israeli chap by the name of Luy Guzon - already has a work permit it seems.10
