Don't stop accepting donations, just keep it in the kitty and let people know if there's enough for more action if needed. Obviously if RD was to sell up on Sunday then return the donations. But we're in this for the long haul, or it could buy some scarves to hand out to kids etc. for free. The momentum should be used, and donations can always be used in some form.

Remind me please, is this about:
~ RD selling ?
~ RD spending ?
~ KM resigning ?
~ RD and KM spelling it out / communicating ?
~ or all 4 ?
As many of the top 4 as I can get, personally. Driving them into change, as they need to understand as the rest of the football community do that this experiment won't be profitable for them, and it is just harming us. It's about the long haul, and the B&W is a great start.
Just want to add a voice of support for those who are putting time, money and effort into organising this protest. You're exactly the type of people our club needs, getting off your arse and doing something proactive. Don't let the odd negative comment put you off - this is just the beginning of this fight, and the groundwork you're doing now can be built on as things progress. Up the Addicks!
may I suggest that you allow donations to continue and if there is money remaining when the protests finish then donate it to either the Upbeats or the Museum.
RD can't sell & spend and KM can't communicate & resign
What is the outcome you are hoping the protest yields ?
In an attempt to wind up you've failed ;- )
If Roland invests in the team and gets us to a promising position, he can sell up at a non loss or in a mini miracle even a small profit. If KM speaks to more fans face to face/individually, not groups, and then understands fans dismay she could step down. Two birds two stones.
The B&W goal is to get them to explain more, and it also piles pressure on them to do something before they lose a heavy income (ticket and matchday revenue)

It's not a wind up, it's a question.
So you want RD to spend and then sell and you hope KM communicates and then resigns.
B&W is about communication and if that doesn't happen then the next step is wholesale boycott (I assume from the point about lost revenue)
Addickted2TheReds, can I donate £25 just so you and your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend/partner can buy a Pint and a fruit based drink, not forgetting a bag of chips. For no other reason than to say thanks?

I understand now.
That's not what I expect, the answer to your question I have already stated. As many of the 4 as possible. My ideal goal is RD out, but I know that's not attainable without pressuring him in other ways. Other peoples goals may be different. The wholesale boycott wouldn't be a plan of action, it would be a natural wave of it due to the way the Club is being run, you can already see that with the attendances at the Valley.
Addickted2TheReds, can I donate £25 just so you and your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend/partner can buy a Pint and a fruit based drink, not forgetting a bag of chips. For no other reason than to say thanks?
I don't think he'd want his husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend and partner to all meet each other. Might be a bit awkward. And the round would cost more than £25.
Any negativity about this protest is not intended. It is simply asking what are the goals of the protest and if those goals are for more communication and there has been a meeting (televised) which everyone has access to view AND the conclusion reached was that there should be more communication THEN a time period should elapse, surely, to see if anything changes. Surely a 4 week period should pass before a protest is appropriate. Surely respect should be shown to all and allow a PROCESS to take place. I cant remember an open (video recorded) meeting occurring before with Katrien and she is aware that in that meeting things were recommended and agreed albeit vaguely. Surely this cant be completely ignored as if it did not happen. I am not being negative; I am merely asking why we cannot let a process take place whereby a reasonable amount of time passes before the next step. I fully support and admire and respect everyone's energy in getting the sense of current dissatisfaction across but if it is about spending more money on players then it is not going to happen as their model is for young talent to come through along side of fewer older pros and not to end up with huge debts; if it is about Managers and the continuous merry-go-round then there is a valid point but every change of manager has actually up until now yielded better results until it, within months, goes pear shaped for whatever reason. BUT when that manager has come in we have all liked them at some stage. Other clubs have similar problems and we, who are trying not to get into debt are trying a different model which I can not only understand but also support SO LONG as we put out a team which caN COMPETE. (jj THINKS WE CURRENTLY HAVE ONE). NOW other than the manager and the players everything to me is secondary. I don't think I am being negative in my opinion; I am suggesting we look for the positives in the current situation and see where they stand beside our goals, one of which is to support a team that gives its all, is tactically astute and can challenge for promotion.

Maybe I could just buy a drink for the 2% that aren't finding it awkward.
Without wishing to embarrass young Joe, may I add my heartfelt thanks to him for pulling this together and at such short notice.
Loads of us "oldies" have been involved in stuff in the past but it's a breath of fresh air to see that a younger supporter is taking up the cudgels this time....and with such enthusiasm & organisational skills.
All I will add is that if Joe appears with a healthy tan any time soon, questions MIGHT be posed as to how he financed that week in Miami....
Seriously, Joe our 2 grandkids are "up" for giving out balloons if there is a supply on offer for Saturday. They have helped in the past by registering fans' votes for POTY. Message me if we can be of use, please.

There was a similar but larger meeting with the VIPs in February which was put out as a video. There is a promise to set up a Target 20,000 committee in the minutes of the Fans Forum meeting in September 2014. There have been various other undertakings to meet people that have never been followed up by the club, going back to KM's insistence she was too busy to do so in the spring of 2014 because she needed to focus on fighting relegation. Everything they have done in this regard has been about obfuscation and delay, so at this stage there is a lack of trust in what is promised. Indeed, the message from the video was decidedly mixed. As Seth pointed out there was no real indication that she wasn't just offering more of the same. The protest is designed to remove her argument that the discontent is limited to a small number of people, whether she really believes that or is just using it as a convenient argument to deflect criticism.

Sorry John but you have to be pretty naive not to understand the situation. Due to the protests the club have been forced grudgingly into a meeting with fans, almost certainly due to impending Sky match. At that meeting KM commited to a target 20k meeting and a different form of Fans Forum. In case you have forgotten, she made similar commitments more than a year ago and did precisely nothing. Now, our club, both on and off the field, has been nosediving to oblivion, a fact which has seemingly gone unnoticed by KM and RD.
In these circumstances, when we have little time to turn the good ship CAFC around, you would be pretty stupid to sound the 'all clear' siren and go home happy that everything will be great from now on. No, keep up the pressure until such time as concrete progress as undeniably been made. Time is short !
What could be lost by going ahead with the 2% event?
If RD/KM/RM use it as an excuse to back away from their communication promises, then those promises aren't worth much anyway are they? Also, if there's a poor showing it will weaken "our" hand until "we" can better demonstrate otherwise.
On the other hand, public and visible strength & unity of feeling may well ensure the communication promises are carried through. As has already been pointed out by @Airman Brown and @Hex promises have been broken in the past.
The Trust were the last ones to talk with KM about future communication and other initiatives, what say they?
Just to let you know. The Ipswich game is being shown internationally. So it will reach a world wide audience.
This is a fantastic effort. The sooner KM and RD can get their heads out of the sand, and realize we do recognize what is going on, the better. This is a very positive 'demonstration'.
RD can't sell & spend and KM can't communicate & resign
What is the outcome you are hoping the protest yields ?
Will you be there on Saturday ? Perhaps, you'll be too busy posting your snide remarks on here ?
What is snide about asking what the ideal outcome is ?
Chill yourself.
Yes I am hoping to get there on Saturday - it's my elder girls birthday party but the early KO helps as I can get back in time, as long as I can avoid the usual 4 pints after the game with my dad. What time is the Rose of Denmark open pre match ?

The outcome? Roland will sell to the next Slater and TJ then sit back and laugh his bollox off as we sing "We want out Charlton back" There will be no knight in shining armour riding down floyd road throwing buckets of cash at the club i am afraid. We made our point with the protest already, now imo is not the time to follow up so soon with another. Personally i would wait until at least after January to let the dust settle as at present it is very foolhardy. So for that reason im out!!

So am I. Shall probably join the others in Bartram's if they let me!
At the recent meeting with fans, Charlton chief executive Katrien Meire suggested that it was only 2 per cent of fans who are unhappy with the way the club is being run, despite it having five head coaches in under two years, three major crises on the pitch and numerous problems off it.
While it's great that the team has won the last two games and Meire has started to talk about having more discussions with fans, the Spell It Out campaign and Voice of The Valley believe this is just the time to keep up the pressure and show her that she is wrong about the extent of ongoing dissatisfaction.
We've therefore come together to ask fans to join a 60 second demonstration in the second minute of the televised game against Ipswich, holding up A4 posters to show the extent of the 2 per cent and joining with a chant of "stand up for the 2 per cent".
This is not a protest based on gender or nationality. It doesn't focus on any individual or demand the owner spends more money. It is legal and respectful. It simply reflects a demand for the club to be run in a more professional and intelligent way, and for the ownership to work with supporters to strengthen the club.
It is intended to be a proportionate show of the strength of feeling that doesn't have any impact on supporting the team, but does get the message across to Meire and the TV audience - in the UK and over in Belgium. Of course the black and white campaign continues at the same time - and indeed the posters will be black and white.
If you are willing and able to contribute a fiver towards the cost of printing the "we are the 2% posters" and/or help distribute them outside The Valley, please inbox myself.
We are also providing a downloadable version here - the version distributed on Saturday will also explain the rationale behind the protest.

If we piss off Roland what happens next? Are the proletariat ready to take over? Katrien Meire works hard but surely needs good 2nd half of season to save job. Mademoiselle Meire may like Londres but unless we at least climb to mid-table mediocrity her days must be numbered.
