28.6 Overton to Blake, SIX 28.5 Overton to Blake, FOUR 28.4 Overton to Cowdrey, 1 run 28.3 Overton to Blake, 1 run 28.2 Overton to Blake, FOUR 28.1 Overton to Blake, SIX
After hanging around for 3.5 hours for the outfield to be squeezied dry, play started under somewhat leaden skies. Great batting performance from DBD & Captain Sam, & the innings finished off with a great knock from Blakey.
2 "old" ( well, older) guys behind us shook their heads , muttering that we were at least 20 runs short so I prepared to don my wellies & shower cap in anticipation of the rain dance we might require...
But, we of little faith ! Zummerset just weren't a match for Colsey, Stevo, Thommo, FAB & Tredders. Great stuff ! And we ended up sunburnt !
So, the plan for the remainder of the limited over season is now clear.
NO away matches to be attended but as many at Canterbury & of course our local ground in Tunbridge Wells, as possible.
