A lot of employers take a very dim view of employees putting negative things on social media that have the potential to create a brand issue.

Chris Parkes has been working at Charlton I think the whole time I've supported the club and I have never heard a bad, or even critical word said against him. He has always come across a as fan and an asset to the Club.
I will not criticise his wife (though she has been publicly critical of CL in the past) of her views of being critical of the protests / protesters and how grateful we should all be to have Roland, as she is perfectly intitled to that view.
However, Ive always thought though her leading involvement in a Facebook group was a bit of a conflict of interest, particularly as anyone who has visited it will tell you the boundaries on there are about a thousand times wider than what we moderate to on here. My own view is I don't think it is fitting for a senior employees wife to be as strongly associated to something with such content.
I also think she puts herself in a position where she stresses most of the time that Chris doesn't tell her a thing and she is as in the dark of Charlton news as everyone else, then occasionally slips in retorts like "if the fans knew the truth" etc. As soon as you cross a line where you are publicly critical of supporters when you are associated with the Club or court certain privileges that the average Joe doesn't, you will immediately find you've put people's backs up.
The Parkes though are by no means the enemy in any way, and really should not be the target for any form of abuse regardless of Sue's thoughts or words.

It's an insight into the thinking of those in senior positions within the football club, especially worrying in this instance as the Parkes are supposed to be supporters. I get that Katrien might not understand why what's going on is so abhorrent to Charlton supporters, but it seems from Sue's (very badly advised) Facebook posts that no one on the payroll gets it.

My mistake I thought I'd read it on here or elsewhere about them getting the players' coach. Nothing personal at all against her and vitriol is misplaced if directed at her or any non board members at the club. At the same time I stand by my comment that it's not a very productive comment and shows there is a big divide between some of the fans mentality. Cannot see how anyone can allay ANY blame to our fans for the shite that's being served up or has occurred under these lot and it strikes of delusion. People are turning up to support the team despite feeling furious and utterly humiliated by this regime. The Board does not deserve this club's supporters as fans and to apportion blame to them is ridiculous.

Agree mate but from what I recall from when I used to be on facebook the approach of "I know something you don't know so your concerns and points are invalid" was oft adopted which rubs people up the wrong way particularly when moderating the page.
If you drip-feed suggestions all the time that you are privy to the way things are happening behind the scenes, and then belittle protesting fans as ignorant and actually harmful to the vision of the owner (which I would suggest a majority of fans, and increasingly the media, think is wrong) then you must expect to be criticised. Were Ms Parkes to offer a view on how Meire/Murray going to ground, why the club refuses to communicate with fans etc and how this is to the greater good of CAFC, then I would be interested to listen.
I want to know more about laundry basketgate. What is the fallout, what was the reaction, and if any new more fragrant laundry baskets have been ordered. An insider would know this stuff.
