A question, do the club have the power to seize a banner from your possession? If no and they do report the club for theft or robbery, cause them as much trouble and problems as possible.
I sit a few rows behind the lad, I will be a witness for him, if he needs any help. I saw what happened, I didn't hear what was said.
What exactly happened Guinness? I sit 3 rows behind him and saw one steward have a word the more came over later ad he seemed to walk out after them. I didnt see any of the alleged although I followed the game after he was past my row rather than seeing what happened after.
The first steward went down to talk to him, there was an exchange of words, followed by the steward grabbing him round the scruff of the neck. The lad had brought the banner at the time, I think the steward wanted to take it. He then went off to get reinforcements.
How old roughly is the lad in question ?
Younger than me, I would say late 20s, early 30, not the biggest lad. He usually has his little boy with him.
Cheers Guinness just wanted to check because it was his mum who posted it and said her lad I pictured a young teenager, still totally out of order and the cowardly bullies need to be stopped, using a job and uniform as an excuse to get heavy handed hiding in numbers, fucking hate bully's with a passion, they never pick on someone that will have a go at them, fancy aborting my self imposed ban buy a banner and see if they fancy telling me to take it down.
If the person was grabbed by the neck then why didn't anyone do anything or at least say something? I'll have to admit if I saw someone being told to leave etc then I wouldn't get involved but if I saw someone being grabbed by the neck I'd like to think I'd at least say something
Cannot imagine any legal justification to take a supporters season ticket. Theft. If he had broken small print, he could subsequently be excluded but needs to go through due process. Letters explaining wrong doing etc. I hope the victims take this further.
Seriously need to get some kind of list together of people who were in the vinicity and those who saw anything from when it started until the people were actually "escorted" off the premises.

There was a few people having a go at the steward, the lad throw the steward's arm almost instantly. The steward then withdraw from the situation, then about 4/5 stewards returned and the lad left peacefully.
On another note, can't imagine everybody allowing the stewards so easy to grab a fella and his mum and manhandled them so easily out the ground at many other clubs. If 50/60 people stand up and get involved they wouldn't be able to cope and think about their actions in future for their £40 fee or whatever they get.
How many stewards in the ground max? 100?
You've got 1000 people venting anger and wanting answers in protests before and after, stick together inside the ground as well.
I am not sure if there was a neck grab or not the first time the bannerers were approached by the stewards. Anyway they took the banner down, and then urged on, put the banner back when the steward went away. This made about two or three stewards come down, and I saw the bannerers being escorted to the stand exit. I didn't see anything that might have happened in the body of the North Upper. Bystanders were visibly irate, and then shortly afterwards the banner re-emerged nearer the North east corner for a brief moment. I did not see any neck grab the second time stewards approached, but it might have happened initially, or within the stand.

There were plenty of people shouting, booing and advising the stewards to get other jobs where it happened.
I am pretty sure that most of the 'snatch squad' stewards are either prison officers or fire brigade, they are employed by a guy called John who is a firefighter but runs a company providing these stewards. They can be very heavy handed at times and in this case it all seems such an over reaction to an inoffensive banner being displayed, but it seems their default position is 'barge in first, ask questions later', not always an appropriate response imo. Also, it always seems to be the same men/women working on matchdays, pretty convenient for them that they can always fit their stewarding work around their day jobs shifts isn't it? Or am I a cynic?

This. Was quite angry with what I was seeing from the north stand from my view in the west stand. I was bemused as to know why no one helped the fans being escorted out. The fan quite clearly did nothing wrong, I assume the stewards tried saying it was some health and safety nonsense, when in fact its probably 'you know who', not wanting banners inside the ground. I would have personally have stood on the stairs to block the fans being escorted out. There were like 4 stewards and god knows how many fans in that section. We didn't need to be violent, they can't kick all of us out if we block their path, and this is coming from me, one of the thermos brigade in the west stand. We need to show more solidarity.
My blood was boiling watching it unfold! It was disgraceful from the stewards! the excuse that Hitler told me to usher people into the gas chambers didn't stand in the Hague! take the banner away from him but to kick him out (and apparently take his season ticket) is utterly disgraceful!
And well done the the (Sorry) old man who stood up above the tunnel bit and stared the chant against the regime! we will get this vermin out of OUR Club!
Bully cunts step up the protest now get the agressive ones to take on the bullies, see how they approach grown men willing to dance
Message to club

Count me in.
I don't pretend to be tough but the windmills will come out where these bully pricks are concerned.

The other issue sounds pretty straight forward; it's assault and needs to be reported.

To throw the fan out though its a disgrace, if anyone was still defending Meire before this, they shouldnt be now!!

Nothing offensive to deserve removal
There was absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Stewards laying hands on people is both unacceptable unless laws are being broken and stupid.
Taking the season ticket off anyone is totally illegal and allied to an assault charge could be a problem for the club
