Here you go, the quickest cut n paste in history!:
Charlton owner Roland Duchatelet has been condemned by a leading fan representative's group after a club statement criticised supporters for protesting his ownership.
The Football Supporters' Federation (FSF) described the club statement, which alleged that some fans have come to games deliberately to wreak havoc, as a "desperate attempt by Duchatelet to divide the club's fan base".
Charlton's statement alleged that some fans "seem to want the club to fail" following protests during the team's 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough on Sunday that included beach balls being hurled onto the pitch, a mock funeral procession and a walkout after 74 minutes. One fan ran onto the pitch while others blew whistles.

"Last Sunday, some individuals did not come to The Valley to watch the game and support the team, but came to create disorder on the pitch and interfere with the players and the game," the statement read.
Charlton fans are calling for absentee owner Duchatelet, who purchased the club for around £14m in January 2014 but has only attended a handful of games, to sell the club.
But such hopes were dismissed in the statement which has sparked fury amongst supporters.
"Charlton Athletic fans' protest group the Coalition Against Roland Duchatelet (Card) clearly has support amongst the club's fan base and this seems a desperate attempt by Duchatelet to divide the club's fan base," read a statement from the FSF.
"It won't work. This ill-thought-out statement is simply pouring petrol on the flames."
The statement also made reference to controversial remarks from chief executive Katrien Meire in which she compared football with going to the cinema or restaurants, claiming she had been misrepresented.
At a tech summit in November Meire commented: "I think the difference is also because fans don't see themselves as customers and…they go to the restaurants with their families every week and they go to the cinema but if they aren't satisfied with the product will they go and scream to the people in charge of it? No they don't, but they do it with a football club and that's very weird."
Charlton are currently in the Championship relegation zone and five points from safety.
Fans have been unhappy with a lack of progress in the league, the departure of popular players and longstanding members of staff and the appointment of four different head coaches with zero Championship experience.
Protests calling on Duchatelet to sell Charlton after most home matches this year and led a successful campaign to convince energy drink Coco5 not to consider a sponsorship deal with the club. Share
Well, briefly anyway. General sympathy for the fans - the owners are clearly lacking ambition, the fans have a right to expect more, the statement was a pr nightmare etc. - then they trotted out the old 'remember when charlton fans were complaining about finishing 7th under curbishley...
Still, just another example of roland creating bad publicity for himself. We're definitely winning the argument...
Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but who, when and where did he meet with the fans????
Haven't read through the next 22 pages of the thread (it's gonna be a fun morning!), so apologies if someone else has already answered your question...
I think this statement is 100% Duchatelet himself. The smug patronising superiority is identical to the Alan Turing interview from last year. Why won't you stupid customers just give me money and shut up? You'll see, I'm an unappreciated genius, you lot just lack the mental capabilities to understand!
As it's not just the Turing reference. This is what he said about the Standard 'Ultras':
Towards the end of our conversation, he lifts a corner of the veil after all. With a sigh. We are staring at the T2, the stand of the ultras: of the frightful fans: of the chants. Does that never bother him? He says:
“Many of the guests who sit there are unemployed and have nothing else to do all day. They spend all their time on internet fora. Suddenly they know everything about Standard. They have nothing better to do the whole day long. i cannot compete with that.”
For those not yet aware of the full extent of his arrogance and crackpot views in that interview here's a pdf of the whole interview
Thanks for posting it. I probably would have felt less shocked by the statement had I read the interview before. Duchatelet is such a narcissist. He has an extreme sense of superiority. He thinks he's ahead of everyone else, and above everyone else. 'I invented tax shift 20 years ago and Germany introduced it in 2005...' Wow, Monsieur Duchatelet, we're so in awe of you.... Is that how you want us to feel? Ridiculous.
Having read the interview I think the statement was indeed largely written by him. After what happened at Standard Liege, his attitude towards fans of football clubs obviously hasn't changed one bit. And I don't think it will ever change. I feel sorry for the comms team. Like Rick Everitt said in the VOTV piece, the statement probably was met with resistance from them and that's why it turned out to be so amateurish and no-one promoted it on the internet.
I talked a bit about the protests and the statement with my mother last night. We both think that Chinese owners would never act so agressively against their fans. Even Vincent Tan changed the colours back eventually, didn't he? Why would any owner in his right mind want to go to war with the fans? There's a Chinese saying 'harmony brings wealth'. Duchatelet is destroying our club with his selfishness, stubborness, arrogance and ignorance but ultimately it's his own money that will be lost. Well, he does have the money to waste so it seems all he wants to do is prove to the world that he's right. He doesn't know one thing though: he may have made a fortune in the microelectronics industry but his IQ is zero when it comes to how to run a football club. He does have an enemy but it's not us. It's himself. And sooner or later, he'll be defeated by himself.

Nobody. Never. Nowhere.
Are the answers.
You've got a cracking post coming up pal, the entire story is re-told using the medium of Taylor Swift.
Whoever did it was some sort of Creative Genius, and - in my opinion - should probably be hired by Charlton to spice up their fan engagement strategy. I think it's a much more novel approach than simply insulting the fans, and even if you do - nobody can be upset when they're insulted by a pretty face after all!

It wasn't until I read this post that I realised just how much Roland likes to play up the "I'm so forward thinking that my failure can be attributed to being too early." idea. His failed internet TV venture, his political ideology.. and now perhaps football?
The most worrying aspect of this, is from a business point of view, in his shoes surely the real questions he should be asking are actually "Why did this idea work for those guys, and not me? Why did my execution of this idea - which has now been proved perfectly viable - fail?". This attitude can only be attributed to sheer unadulterated arrogance, nothing more and nothing less.
The way he treats fans with such contempt - and his condescending aspersions that those who are most passionate are surely just jobless people with nothing else to fill their time other than internet forums - is also tell tale of a truly arrogant man.
We're talking about a man who will fix his shoes with tape, rather than buy new ones. I think everyone is wrong when they think he's obsessed with money - money isn't giving him a hard-on. If he truly did get up and live for money then he would want to show it. On the contrary, I think what makes Roland tick is his innate need to be proven right - his ego can't take being wrong, and when it undoubtedly is wrong he turns it in to a victory when someone else successfully executes his plans.
Fighting someone who has the utmost belief that their correct - regardless of the facts - is very much trying to fight a form of extremist. Logic wont work against that particular psychological condition, his armour is his own delusion. And that worries me.
I think that if Roly announced that the process of selling the club had begun I am pretty sure that it would give the players a boost, the fans would get on side and we would somehow manage to avoid relegation.
It's still on the Club's first new page. I'm sure any competent PR would have found a sudden flurry of news stories ( you know a photo of Kashi with today's newspaper - that sort of thing) to push the offending article of the front page. They do have the Young Red's Easter party - my advice to the kids is don't take any Easter eggs from the old Belgian geezer asking their views as supporters - a quick kick on the shins is the appropriate response.
No way on earth should kid's be allowed anywhere near that man. Don't forget, he likened football clubs to family, and we've all seen how he treats them.

There you go Roly, balls in your court.
Canters, this would make a very good email to fans@cafc.co.uk! Clear, precise and has an end game!

Hi Jessieassick, great to have addicks from afar! I love the Chinese saying that 'harmony brings wealth'. If only CAFC had it at the moment. But this proud club did once.

Target 20k - who lets face it are probably the most willing fans to work with the current regime for what they see as the good of the club overall - have released a statement renouncing Roland's rant.

That's probably one of the most impactful things to come out of this, more so than the media coverage. It would appear that the final organised and visible group in support for the regime is now appearing to crumble.
It's may not be composed of the strongest of words - and the sentiment seems to be more of disappointment than outright condemnation - but it's a step in the right direction.
