Worcester beat Yorkies - Worcs looked very impressive and have got some very good youngsters in Clarke,D'Oliveira and Kohler-Cadmore - and investing in youth unlike the likes of Somerset. 3 out of 3 wins for Worcs now - well done.
Earlier on somebody mentioned Sylvester Clarke, Johnathan Agnew tells some lovely stories of more than one Leicestershire batsmen pulling up lame on arrival at the Oval to play Surrey, as apparently they were none to keen to face Clarke, who by all accounts could be a nasty piece of work.
On one trip to London, a couple of batsmen pulled up in the morning with the dreaded sore hammy, only to discover just before the start of play that Clarke himself had pulled out injured, and then they both had a miraculous recovery at the thought of filling their boots against a Clarke-less Surrey attack!!
On my personal crusade of English qualified players in the current T20 comp, and one of the reasons why we should have Franchise cricket...Leicester are playing Durham where , in my calcs, there is just 5 players on the Leics side who would qualify to play for England. They have in their side (top 6)....Pettini,Cosgrove,O'Brien,Akmal,N O'Brien,Dexter and then Mckay coming in later. This is a disgrace and just a piss-take of the Kolpak and other rules they can bend to suit themselves. Bring in Franchise cricket where we can get shot of these C List foreign players who just clog up our system with sub-standard cricket that doesnt move English cricket forward whatsoever. Hope Leicester lose (by a lot !) - though not looking too rosy at the moment with Durham 12-3 !
Quite incredibly, West Indies did not qualify the 2017 Champions Trophy to be held in England. So, the World T20 champions are ranked lower than BanglaDesh and SriLanka in 50 over cricket ! - what a load of bollox... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/36425052

Would guess its because West Indies don't always put their strongest side out in normal ODIs and that sees them slip down the rankings.
In the current triangular ODI series, South Africa and Australia are pretty much at full strength.
West Indies (the hosts) missing: Chris Gayle, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Sammy, Andre Russell etc.
These players would probably turn out for a tournament if they were there, but due to politics and the lure of 20/20 money elsewhere, it makes them under strength for the majority of the time.
Rarely has an England batsman been quite so out of form playing for both his country and county as Compton - 131 runs this summer in 10 innings this summer in all forms of cricket at an average of 16.38. When one thinks that, in 2012 and prior to making his Test debut he had made over 1,000 runs in first class cricket alone by 1st June, it shows quite how much batting is in the mind.
Just hope The Snail isn't recalled - but with just one 50 in his last 15 innings hopefully the chances of that happening are limited too.

Except the majority of their big name experienced players who played in that world T20 don't play ODI's. A few of them made themselves available for the current tri series. But even they normally dont play. So no wonder their ranking was so low...
