Keep up, young @vff, I posted a link to that seven minutes before you did.

(I bet you get all the likes, though. Shuffles up, mumbling.)
You got me there @AddicksAddict. I did acknowledge it above, but ending up going on a mini despairing rant myself.

Kyle Andrews is a quality article. What a shambles this club is under this ownership.

The article ketts put up today seems to be very vague in regards to what will happen!

I would disagree with you on that one , but he seems to have been off the pace recently!
  • ::Takes deep breath::
    Kevin Nolan?

    Not the football writer (unfortunately).

Wasnt Steve Evans a professional 2 years ago?

Tricky little fleet footed winger if I recall correctly

    Ardley?

    No, Evans was certainly tricky.
  • Sheffield does seem a better choice for Wilder but even Colin said he'd signed an agreement with us so like it or not he turned us down.

He had the option of us or Utd and didn't go with us so he turned us down, it happens so it's not the end of the world but we didn't have a plan B and there's the rub.

And it doesn't matter to me how many other clubs don't have a manager as I'm a Charlton fan.

It's June and we need to yet again rebuild the entire squad but there is no one at the helm, no plan, no style of play or direction.

    We have direction........downwards.

new man will b in place by end of week - don't know name but know level of experience, contract length and to an extent, where he's from.

Former professional footballer and now a manager
    Two years
    England
    Nationality is...
  • Freedman, Symons or Redfearn
  • When it's clearly Slade why is everyone guessing different names?
  • From the info Doucher. I can see Slade with JJ as assistant, but Doucher said he's a pro footballer which rules out Slade? Unless it's JJ????

  • But I know enough to know not them

    Rules out Slade and Adkins.
I was only guessing. Didn't even realise Slade hadn't been a player.

Yesterday someone called "insider" suggested next week looked more likely.
  • Personally would prefer Adkins to get the nod but if ended up being Slade i wont be grumbling, i just hope its not that cheating fat turd Steve Evans.
  • Really would hate having Steve Evans in charge...

The bloke is a crook after what happened at Boston United... Almost as bad as having Malky Mackay!!

Would imagine he as accepted the post before he went away, and as already sorted out his backroom staff and even spoke to one or two players while he as been away so when he returns next they can get stuck into the job ......

    *has*

'imagine' so basically you havn't got a clue - I doubt it's even Slade
  • Is the new manager's name Roland's Poodle?
  • The only person who I can think of who fits the profile is Darrell Clarke of Bristol Rovers.

It would however be a significant "U turn" by him as he only a matter of days ago supposedly rejected any Leeds United approach apparently due to their instability and reportedly "agreed" a new 3yr contract with Rovers.

Indeed it was reported Rovers had even refused Clarke permission to speak to Leeds.

In terms of age and up & coming profile he would fit in coaching terms the "investment" in youth criteria almost religiously embraced by this regime.
