Players are going for following reasons wages, and the fact they don't want to stay , Cousins Jorge T and Gudmunnson all want to try their luck at other clubs . I have heard Powell on more than one occasion say he only paid fees for two players that summer transfer window. One was Stephens the other was Wiggins. We may have paid for Haynes as he joined in the January.
It's possible that Powell doesn't count Leon Clarke even if we did pay a fee for him as he wasn't a Powell signing. I believe he was one of the players 'given' to Powell by Prothero? (The other being Alonso) neither of whomever really played so possible CPL didn't count them.
