Conor McLaughlin from Fleetwood Town linked on one of those dodgy rumour sites. Full back who played for N Ireland at Euro 16.

Finally an excuse to get rid of Chris Solly.

McLaughlin will be cheaper, they'll get money from Solly and McLaughlin is an International from Euro 2016 so on that basis is better than Chris Solly.
What money would you get for Solly?....
'Get' money? Imagine that as a concept.

No, we're like some sort of football outreach program, donating players outright, or paying them to play for clubs that have little or no money for wages.

Nottingham forest need a backup keeper - sure, take ours for free.

Red Star Paris want our £1.5m centre back - well, I've never heard of Red Star, so I'm pretty sure they can afford to pay him, so why don't we just take care of his wages for them.

Igor and Reza are fancied by clubs in the lowlands you say? Sure! Take them! We have no use for them here. Would you like us to pay Igor's wages too? Of course we will.

I was being sarcastic. ..can't imagine we would get anything for Solly, with dodgy knees.
I know. Just ranting about the complete ineptitude of these fuckwits.
Seriously, how does that woman explain herself to Roland?

She does not have to, he thinks she is wonderful, he is right, isn't he?

Is there any proof that we are paying all the wages of Vetokele, Sarr and Watt out on loan this season? If so then it is unbelievably ridiculous.

We will not be paying all the wages, but i reckon at least 50%.

Would take him over Johnson all day long but can't see why he'd be interested in dropping down a division.

Pearce would be solid enough for us I think . Would have him over Johnson anyday of the week. Can't see us spending money on him tho if he costs more than £15 and a packet of digestives

Pearce would be a great signing but I doubt Wigan's vice captain who won the league last season would be interested or allowed to leave . Where's the rumour from?

He's from London so might fancy a return south instead of living in Wigan.

  • Sam Morsy also available from Wigan. Only signed for them 6 months ago but would be a good signing for anyone in the league.

He would be an unbelievable signing at this level. They are the kind of signings we need from the 5 or 6 we are short.

If Pearce was to sign, does that indicate that Tex will be off more than replacing Johnson?

I know Lennon and Bauer are currently injured, but that would be 5 centre backs, I can't see the board doing that.

I really hope Tex stays and if he was to sign, be a replacement for Johnson but we shall see.
  • Just to add to the Pearce rumour, he wasn't in the squad for the game they played yesterday.

I'm annoyed at myself for being gullible enough to be excited after we signed Ajose, Holmes and Novak. These toxic idiots have managed to fill us with anxiety early this season.

I think some on here need to chill. The window isn't shut yet. ☃

No better than Roger Johnson? Have you ever actually seen Roger Johnson play? I reckon Katrien could do a better job.

Wigan fans on Twitter saying he's their best centre back and would be gutted if he left.

Again he's another player who has won League One, add Solly / Jackson / Crofts to that list and we're adding some much missed experience

So do you get the feeling that we will try to bring in 5/6 players, that are good enough for us to mount a promotion challenge ?

I thought Pearce was good at Leeds as well, shame my expectations have fallen that I'd assume Bauer and Tex are off to fund him...

Replacement for tex to be sold.how can we not afford a free transfer Buxton from Rotherham how tight is Roland they only got 10000 fans we get double that watching beep test on line. Saying that they better make our players do it before each game.to bump up crowd because we're going to get smaller crowds than millwall this season

It may well be that we are looking for better than Buxton & Foley.

Slade would be foolish to say they're not good enough & then have to go crawling back in a month's time, if we can't do better.

I don't think it matters who is being linked or rumoured. British players know what a mess this club is and won't be coming here if they have any choice. Besides, we are at the stage where Roly will tell Slade to get on with it and pick Academy players, at which time Slade will resign if he has any self-respect.

Johnson played much better yesterday (only 1 serious slip and a silly kick the air reaction afterwards). Tex and Konsa alongside him was a big help. Fox was Fox.

I think that is fair enough, some people ON HERE may well benefit from chilling out, man.

Trouble is that it the manager saying were miles away, the kids won't be enough and we need 5 or 6 more.

It's Russ you need to tell to chill, not anyone on here.

Think this whole myth that English players won't join because of the state of the club has already been completely disproved. Pretty sure Ajose and Novak would have had several other options, as would Holmes more than likely.

Perhaps Roland's eaten all the money.
  • Think people are going OTT with slagging Johnson, we're playing in league one and I wouldn't actually find it that bad if he ended up playing along side Lennon for parts of the season, not ideal I know but he will have benefited from a full pre season and is experienced for playing hundreds of games above this level.

He's had his moments but provided Rojo has had an early night before a game, slept with the windows open and you are not offended by bad language, he'll talk you through a game and you'll learn a lot from him. Those bits you don't like, consign to the memory dustbin  .
