Don't get the hate for bringing in loans. Assuming they are good enough (I know big assumption) and can play in the positions we need, what's the problem? Many clubs (even us in the past) have benefited from use of the loan system. Don't understand the hate for it.
I think the main fear with this lot is we've always got a small squad, and if too many of the players are loans we end up in the same position every summer when they leave. By the end of last season we had a more or less presentable team with at least some depth. The problem was we had Makienok, Sanogo, Fanni, Poyet and Yun all on loan, and as soon as the season ended we lost them all. They weren't all the best players but suddenly the squad was so thin again before we'd even thought about the transfer market. It makes it very difficult to build a squad
Just watched penalty shot out against Dutch team. Think them hexagon nets are going to be signing of the season for us. Well up to the job.beats last seasons signing of the sofa easy.
Can't wait for the last game of the season when Swindon get promoted and we storm the pitch and cut down the hexagonal nets
Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka will look to offload one of the club's goalkeeper this summer, reports the Evening Gazette.
Brad Guzan’s arrival from Aston Villa, coupled with the signing of Victor Valdes, means the Boro boss has four goalkeepers at his disposal, along with last season's No. 1 Dimi Konstantopoulos and Tomas Mejias already at the Riverside Stadium.
And Karanka has admitted admits he does not intend to go into the new season with four goalkeepers.
"I don't think we'll have four (goalkeepers)," Karanka said. “The keeper is a different position but I don't want to stay with four.
“I don't think it's good for me and for us, and I don't think it's good for the keepers. A team doesn't need four keepers."
You see Katrien... You SELL Goalkeepers when you already have their Replacements.
I cant take much more of this. I need a signing. Any signing. The glorious bygone days of Robbie Mustoe and Jesper Blomqvist have never felt so long ago.
I'd take Mejias, 27 years old and has played for Madrid's reserve teams. Big lad too at 6'5". Konstantopoulos is 37 though so if we signed one of them it'd be him.
So I go to a Greek island for nearly two weeks on the cusp of the season, so I would expect to return to find us fully sorted for the season ahead. But obviously not.
I'm just glad Bury sold Leon Clarke to Sheffield United! He would have a field day against use on opening day! Safe to say he will score against us later for his new club though
Sooooo, just had a look as i saw 48 new posts,so excited to see who we'd signed and............fark all......another fun filled day at Charlton Towers....
Below is supposed to be Forever Addicted tumbleweed gif. Sorted it, if first you don't succeed.......Just like encouraging Duchatelet to sell up & get out of Charlton .........
