Charlton Life's word of every month: ''scapegoat''

    Winger / creative midfielder

No, I'd put the new player in for Foley

    Foley is fine.
As a back up right back and last resort CDM. He is not the answer to our box to box or creative CM question.
Im not stupid enough, to think he is a box to box midfielder.
All I'm saying is he is doing fine, and is not as bad as people keep mentioning, the same as with Crofts.
Because these two players are not flair players,a lot of what they do goes unnoticed.

    Will they get us promoted?
  • He isn't a bad player - but we need to inject some different attributes when you view the midfield as a whole.

That's down to whether our owner is willing to invest or not.
I would not say that the the two players mentioned, would get us promoted.
But I would say that they seem a whole lot better than a lot of the previous ones heaped on us.
  • January = uphill struggle.
  • Summer 2017 - Repeat ad nauseum
  • Not getting Tom adeyemi signed for Rotherham
  • Someone on Twitter has said that he was told by a reliable source both Louis Thompson and liam Henderson should have both signed before Bolton. He says it's a reliable source so we can hope he is right

  • Squad number 78?
  • Word of the season so far; box-to-box
  • Nov, Top of the league!!!
  • Interesting he only signed pro with West Ham in the summer. Says he's more of a box to box midfielder.

Didn't the Douchbag sell him on from one of his network clubs early in his career?
  • Why has Joe Garner gone to Rangers? Baffling

He did, think he got a couple of mil for him.

  • Very interesting... Simon Moore has just signed for Sheffield United for an Undisclosed Fee
  • Why has Joe Garner gone to Rangers? Baffling

I remember him in The Rockford Files
  • I used to live next door to Jim Garner.

...until he moved to Scotland to get away from me.

But would you drop Jacko at the moment! 2 goals in as many games

But Jacko is injury prone, and it's a 46 game league season plus we can't conveniently bow out of the Football League Paint Cup Thing (TM). We need numbers, and creativity in midfield. Also, JJ's run of goals has been great and well timed, but prior to this he'd gone ~9 months without scoring.
Though in his defence it was in a different division and over that period he had three different managers and was in and out of the team through injury and just not being selected. The entire team was out of sorts.

Of course he is not going to be able to play every game, but he offers much more than Foley does. I'd keep Jacko in there right now.
Yes, all fair, and I wouldn't drop him at the moment. But down the road we'll need options and we may need more dynamism than he brings.
That's the point of having a squad !!!! ................................................................................... Oh right I see what you mean ;-)
  • August 2017 Words of the Month from Award Winning, Football Supremo, Human Rights Doyenne Katrien Merie

"We will build a squad which is capable of challenging from promotion from League Two. We learn from our mistakes and look forward to engaging with the remaining 3 fans.

We look forward to the leadership of former Greenwich Borough Manager, Mr No-Mark"
  • Simon Moore signs for Sheff Utd and Tom Adeyemi signs for Rotherham, that's two we won't be signing.
