Shane Waugh involved according to Acworth.

Was he the one married to Daphne before she ran off with Des and he became a hermit?

Female fans would not be able to attend games without him hassling them for their number etc.

How ironic if it failed the EFL test?

Fred West would pass their test!
    With:

    J. Fritzl as manager.
    P. Sutcliffe as assistant manager.
    Nick Lesson finance director
This sounds funny but he did get a job in Football not that long ago. He ran Galway United into the ground between 2007 and 2011 or so. I think he ended up as CEO and part owner. Club went out of business and had to restart a couple of years later.
  • Nice timing... New takeover this week and the following happens:

    (1) We get into the Play-Offs... Excellent, stand a chance of going into the Championship with new owners
    (2) We miss out on the Play-Offs... Oh well, we go again with a proper chance next season

Missing out on the Play-Offs will certainly be annoying but the blow will certainly be softened

I heard Ackworth involved according to Shane Waugh!

Well, it’s either Shane Warne or Steve Waugh or Ackworth

Imagine the party at Wembley if this goes through! We'll be knee deep in lager sick and donner meat in the stands.

There was a story on Saturday that four Aussies were in a box. I couldn’t stand it up but Wyn Grant has reported it from another source.
    .

Was this the Sky Sports box?

    ‘Koala bear rumour
Two sources (not the Rickster) told me yesterday that four Australians were in the ground. They were not in the directors' box, but incognito (possibly in East Stand box, but this has not been verified).

It was also suggested that the takeover might go through this week. We have had so many false alarms that I don't want to hold out any hope and the mood is much better anyway, as shown by the attendance and the passion of the crowd who kept up a wall of noise.’

All fellas in that one, smartly dressed (youngish I think). Noticed it was strange blinds were partly drawn at half time.

They opened them slightly to see the Sue Perks half-time vol-au-vent challenge on the pitch.

    Nope, don't know that one.

Is it similar to the Englishman, Scotsman. Welshman and Irishman who walk into a bar?
