5 more years of Tories is 5 more years of Manchesters, London Bridges, Westminsters etc.
Most Tories are stakeholders in businesses reliant on cheap immigrant labour. They will do exactly what they need to do to keep lining their pockets. Also whilst cutting security and police that is making us all less safe (Not sure how you came to the conclusion that Tory cuts to the police are somehow making us more safe but it is definitely untrue).0 -
maybe you should team up with @MuttleyCAFC and me and @BR7_addick can have a tag team match you rude prick.Red_in_SE8 said:

i think we can't criticise the police for concluding the attack within 8 minutes with great courage. The terrorists pick London for effect because it isn't tactically the best location - anybody who works in central London can see how well policed it is. I think that it is less so outside of London and we have to be watchful of how this can develop.
Gaining an extra 10,000 police is important, but they have to be deployed in the right way. Corbyn has suggested the Police will decide and that feels right. What we need to put the resources into is stopping these atrocities before they happen. Why has there been only one Tpim served on 400 returners from ISIS currently in this country? Is it resources? There seems something wrong when you learn more about the attackers and what they have openly said!3 -

This (largely). I don't agree that the policies were properly costed. They simply chucked loads of spending over to the infrastructure column and assumed that the Govt cold simply carry on borrowing at the same rates as present.Henry Irving said:Despite May being a no show, there being no costings in their manifesto and only offering more cuts to the Police, NHS, to anyone in fact but the rich the Tories will, I predict, get a bigger majority.
And that is because even though Labour had clearer, costed policies and wanted to save the NHS, increase police numbers and cut tuition fees (all things that should be vote winners) they had Corbyn.
He was an electoral liability from the start and most of his MPs knew it which is why they wanted him gone.
Any decent, non- far left, Hamas/IRA supporting leader would have had a real chance to damage May, a weak leader with a poor record and only sound bites to offer.
Roll on the new centre left party.
OTOH Labour have had their best campaign since 2005 even taking Abbott into account. Barely any disunity, A brilliant trick in leaking the manifesto to get double coverage and check to see if any policies went over super badly.
The Tories, by contrast have run a truly awful and depressing campaign. I can't think of a worse one by the Tories who are usually pretty good. I hope this is the end of Lynton Crosby's cynical approach of repeating the same mantra to a 100 or so campaign workers. Dismal.
The Tories will still win because nobody can really imagine a Corbyn Government.
If only we had a Macron on the centre-left.

As previously mentioned I believe running such polls is illegal but then again I don't police this site.MuttleyCAFC said:Of course we will. We are all Addicks. Aren't we doing a CL poll this year - I think it is quite interesting, even if it does not represent the final result.

and that is from the left independant fyi @se9addick
Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour leader, has said if he wins the general election his administration would deliver a “fair” immigration policy, but refused to be drawn on whether he would bring down the numbers coming into the country.
But you're going to vote for the party that has broken its pledges on immigration twice in a row.
What do they say about people who do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result?
There might be good reasons for voting Tory (for example, you want Rupert Murdoch to get richer). But immigration and security are the areas the Tories have a completely awful record on.7 -
Yes, the leaking of the manifesto was brilliant. It built momentum. They don't need a new manifesto for teh next election, they need to stand behind this one all the way and more and more people will get it and what they stand for - not what the press tells them.2

I have never been rude to you Palarsehater - I even politely explained when you got a policy mixed up when I could have been a bastard and made a cheap shot out of it. Thanks for that!0

It's a bloody cliffhanger this morning in Runnymede and Weybridge. You couldn't move on the road to the polling station for the logjam of Audi, Merc and BMW SUVs heading to vote on their way to the local fox hunt taking place in someone's massive garden down the road.
What remains to be seen is whether this eats in to the slim 50pc Tory majority and whether enough Labour voters get out of bed before the 10pm voting deadline to make a difference.
Gonna be a close one here.

No worries, you can be on my tag team then mate - I was known as 'chopper' in my playing days, I like to think it was because of the evidence of the showers after the games, but it was probably more due to my ability to kick the **** out of opponents, so we could be a decent pairing!palarsehater said:

Incorrect. The reason the attack was stopped as quickly as it was was due to the attack being made on the police and not Joe public.Fiiish said:

Happy voting everyone, whichever way you swing do your duty and vote.
Thanks for all the discussions, especially Mutley whom I've clashed with a lot on this thread and despite my views really annoying him he's been a good man to not kick me in the goollies.
On the armed police we do need more and there's a massive recruitment drive at the moment (in the met). An awful lot of their time is gang related, my mate was guarding the depeche mode concert last Saturday when the terrorist attack took place, he was sent there an hour after it happened but was diverted twice to Hyde Park and to Southwark to perform a stop on two different cars, both stops the occupants had loaded weopans, gangs, not terrorists.

I like no sooner than the praises for a good thread were made that it all went tits up and a tag team match has been arranged!
Tories won the media war, Labour the social media which can be summed up in this.10 -
Why am I getting a box saying people have mentioned me in a post when they haven't? Getting annoying.0

not really gloating you've been on my case for the last week educating the many not the few and you have to resort to imo the only thing you've got - all brexit voters are thick/racist. you've said it enough time.Red_in_SE8 said:
