Season ticket

Morning all
Recovered my season ticket today in a big red box with a few things inside. Really trying to make the fans happy by giving them little gifts in the bag

    More importantly, who delivered it?

Robinson said Ben Reeves said he was delivering mine back in January and it's still not arrived.

What everybody is crying out for in mid-July.

Actually I think that is the best idea in the pack.

Clubs sell calendars in January which is mid- season.

A July to June calendar makes much more sense for football fans.

Shops already sell academic calendars covering the same period.

Cue CARD stepping up the back and white protest to counteract the red and white scarf giveaway...

    A word of warning.
The postman rang my doorbell to deliver my season ticket as the box it comes in was too big for the letterbox.
Had I not been in he would not have been able to deliver it.
Anyone who's season ticket doesn't arrive it may well be that you was not home to receive it.

If only some of the protesters had thought of giving out scarves.

Would have a low cost but very effective marketing tool.

But you can't expect ordinary fans to out think expensive professional PR gurus

Until we sell half the players featured in the calendar by August 31st!

What a load of bollocks. It used to be enough to receive your new season ticket & the excitement of a new season beckoning.

Exactly my point. With the year calendars they are 18 months after the beginning of a season.

Lot less risk this way but still a risk

It's not bollocks though is it. personally I couldn't give a toss whether they include a scarf or anything else; but of all the things wrong at the moment why bother being negative about something so harmless. I can just imagine KM's response when asked why there are so many fans unhappy at the way the club is being run. "well we can't please some people. They even moan when we give away free merchandise wth the season ticket".

Seeing as we've only sold 4, 000 season tickets might be worth a few quid as well
  • A seat in the west stand lower, free scarf and valley pass free access for 6 months for only £135.

    Not bad value for money.
  • Typical of the SMT, trying to do something a little extra for fans to mark the 25th anniversary of some meaningless event that happened in the past. Roland out.

Got mine this morning. Very happy and impressed with overall package. Like someone said though I would have been annoyed if I missed delivery

Ours turned up this morning, kids loved it.

Daughters friend at school had Ricky Holmes turn up with theirs yesterday afternoon

Got mine this morning although the calendar is a desktop style version with fixtures filled in on Saturdays with no player photos and quite handy for my desk at work.

Some might call all this unnecessary or OTT, me I like it and it's the sort of thing that looks good whoever the owner is.

edit - Just seen Dec 9th features a photo of the gates being opened by Roger Alwen with my Dad and brother visible with me hidden just behind Roger in this photo. Nice touch indeed.

I cant see any reason in complaining about this to be honest. Was presentable, delivered 2 weeks before the season starts and comes with a few extras.

Doesn't compensate for the last 3 years, but, like the fact they offered free travel a couple of times last season and a bacon roll it's just a nice gesture. Take it for what it is in isolation I say

Scarf has the back at the valley scroll at one end, so new scarf, not old stock they wanted to give away

Agree that this is a nice gesture. Ten years ago we would have said it typified the special relationship between club and fans.

If nobody else has offered/offers, I will donate the whole package/box to the museum at the end of the season, including ST and wallet etc.
Remind me in April/May next year.
